During the meeting, Professor Chung-Sok Suh provided information regarding the doctoral scholarship program at the University of New South Wales focusing on Korean Studies. Accordingly, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will send two qualified faculty members to participate in the doctoral program through one of two methods: registering for all disciplines at the University of New South Wales or studying Korean Studies in South Korea. This is the result of a cooperation agreement signed by both sides in 2014. Professor Chung-Sok Suh also extended an invitation to Professor Nguyen Van Khanh and another Vietnamese scholar to attend a conference to be held in South Korea on September 16-17, 2015. The conference will focus on the relationship between South Korea and countries belonging to the Association for Korean Studies in Southeast Asia (KoSaSa).

Professor Chung-Sok Suh discussed scholarship opportunities with Professor Nguyen Van Khanh.
Professor Nguyen Van Khanh highly appreciated the suggestions and support provided by Professor Chung-Sok Suh. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is committed to effectively utilizing the scholarship provided by the University of New South Wales by selecting candidates who meet the necessary qualifications and capabilities. At the same time, the Rector also accepted the invitation to attend a seminar with a scholar specializing in Korean studies.
Representatives from both sides agreed to strengthen information sharing and linkages between universities conducting research on Korean studies, and to seek scholarships and funding for research activities, as well as faculty and student exchanges between Vietnam and Korea.
