At the seminar, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Quang Hien presented an overview of the Party's history of development and growth, as well as its leadership of the nation through numerous victories since the spring of 1930. Following this, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu shared with the young members the necessary qualities for joining the Party: correctly and purely defining one's motivation for joining; continuously cultivating political acumen and revolutionary moral character; playing a pioneering role and improving the ability to fulfill all tasks for the Party, the State, and the people; and being committed to the collective and responsible to the community in the spirit of "wherever youth are needed, youth will be there; whatever is difficult, youth will overcome it." Associate Professor Dr. Vu Quang Hien also affirmed that "Young communists are always the pioneering force" because they are a force of young intellectuals, constantly absorbing new knowledge, dynamic in an integrated society, and always possessing the will to move mountains and fill oceans.

The discussion was followed by numerous questions and concerns from the Youth Union members regarding the process of training, striving, and joining the Party, the attitude and responsibility of Youth Union members in the face of many complex developments in the world and the subversive plots against our Party by hostile forces. Many situations and real-life examples were discussed directly. The opinions expressed all showed faith in the Party, affirming that our Party is the Party "of the people, by the people, and for the people," and that all the Party's struggles are for the benefit of the people; at the same time, the opinions also emphasized the role of Youth Union members in the struggle against hostile forces and in fighting for the ideals of the Party.
