During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) extended greetings to Mr. Ling Yinjia and the delegation from Baise City. The Rector stated that the University places great importance on its relationship with Chinese universities, especially those in southwestern China such as Guangdong and Guangxi. Each year, the University welcomes approximately 300-400 Chinese students to study Vietnamese language, culture, and history. The University hopes to continue this cooperation and expects Baise City to facilitate opportunities for Vietnamese students to study and intern at Chinese universities through short-term exchange programs. This would also contribute to the overall Vietnam-China relationship.
Mr. Ling Yinjia expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and wished to further strengthen cooperation between the University and Chinese universities through student and faculty exchanges and scientific research. Baise City also wants to promote cultural interaction between Vietnamese and Chinese students through cultural exchange activities and the establishment of Chinese language practice facilities for Vietnamese students, aiming to supplement human resources for the upcoming Vietnam-China cross-border economic project.
Professor Pham Quang Minh agreed with Mr. Ling Jianya's proposals and hoped that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities would move towards more concrete cooperation with universities in Baise City, such as Baise Academy. The Rector emphasized scientific research activities and the organization of scientific conferences on topics related to cross-border exchanges between Vietnam and China, such as comparative Vietnamese-Chinese culture and language, and promoting sustainable tourism in the border region. The Rector pledged to create the best conditions for students from Baise City to study and conduct research at the University, especially in the Department of Linguistics and the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language.
