Receive and work with the Algerian Ambassador to Vietnam

The meeting aimed to discuss the program to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Algeria, jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Embassy of Algeria in Vietnam and the Vietnam-Algeria Friendship Association. The event is expected to take place on October 30, 2017 with the participation of representatives of a number of Vietnamese state agencies; officials of the Algerian Embassy and a number of other embassies; and 150 students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including 50 international students. The event will include 2 parts: (i) Screening of the movie "Lotus" at the 8th floor hall of Building E; (ii) Exhibition of photos on the Vietnam-Algeria friendship in the 1st floor hall of Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Press and media agencies interested in this topic will also report on the event. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh and Ambassador Mohamed Berrah Preliminary agreement has been reached on issues such as auditorium, attendees, reception procedures and reception work.

On behalf of the University, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh expressed his thanks to the Algerian Embassy in Vietnam for the idea of ​​organizing the event. The President pledged that the University would create the best conditions to ensure success and select outstanding students to participate in the program. This activity is not only meaningful to the Vietnam-Algeria relationship in general but also helps students, lecturers and staff of the University understand more deeply and contribute to the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

In recent times, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has organized activities to strengthen diplomatic relations between Vietnam and partner countries. Most recently, the University coordinated with the National Peace Memorial Museum for the Victims of the Nagasaki Atomic Bombing (Japan) to organize the photo exhibition “From Ruins to Revival” from September 25 to November 5, 2017.
