Originally established on April 16, 2014, as the Vovinam Club of Journalism and Humanities, under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the club has steadily developed and achieved considerable success. This success is due to the dedication and hard work of the individuals who have led and supported the club throughout its journey.

Initially, the club was established with the aim of providing a beneficial platform for students to improve their health, create a journalistic work environment, and above all, contribute to the overall development of Vovinam martial arts. After a period of operation, the club expanded its scale to include not only students from the university but also students from other universities such as the University of Natural Sciences, the University of Water Resources, Thang Long University, etc.

As one of the first leaders of the club, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hoa - the club's head coach - shared: "In the early stages of operation, people were hesitant to register for training, so the number of participants was small. Partly because the club didn't have mats, lacked sufficient training equipment, and was still relatively unknown." However, it can be seen that the Vovinam Club of the Faculty of Humanities is now one of the most active and effective clubs at the school. This is proven by the achievements the club has garnered in 2017.
At the 5th National Sports Festival (2015), despite competing against stronger opponents, the students in the club won 1 Silver Medal and 4 Bronze Medals.
However, 2017 marked a significant improvement in the competitive abilities of the students in the club. At the Northern Student Vovinam Championship (June 2-4, 2017), the Humanities Vovinam Club brought home a total of 11 medals for the National University bloc, including: 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals. The National University bloc ultimately ranked 4th in the overall standings.

In particular, at the 9th Hanoi Sports Festival (September 25-27, 2017), the Nhan Van Vovinam Club won 8 medals, including 4 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals, and 1 Bronze medal, ranking 3rd overall.
This success is the result of the hard work and dedication of the club members. Pham Bang Suong (K61 Public Relations) – the club's president – shared: “At the recent Hanoi Sports Festival, some members of the team were simultaneously attending military training in Hoa Lac and practicing intensely due to limited time. Many suffered injuries on the day of the competition, but they remained determined to compete for the honor of their country, never giving up.”
Undeterred by hardship, the students at the Humanities Vovinam Club brought the competitive spirit of the martial art into the competition. This demonstrates that Vovinam – Vietnamese martial arts – not only trains physical strength but also cultivates moral character and unwavering resolve in the face of adversity.

In addition to training activities, the club also participates in social activities such as performing at humanitarian programs and donating blood. In the near future, the club plans to collaborate with humanitarian centers to organize several annual volunteer activities. Above all, this reflects the spirit of the club's slogan: Humanity – Martial Arts – Compassion.
Having accompanied the club throughout its journey, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hoa commented: “The Humanities Vovinam Club is one of the younger Vovinam clubs in Hanoi. This presents a challenge for both teachers and students in regional and national tournaments. The successes achieved by the students are all built upon self-discipline. The club has its own rules, training methods, and way of life when wearing the martial arts uniform.”
It is evident that the past three years have been a period of diligent training and dedication for the club's members. With the spirit that the Vovinam Club always strives for, it is certain that in the future, the Nhan Van Vovinam Club will develop further, bringing the spirit of martial arts to many generations.
