At the reception, on behalf of the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vice President Dao Thanh Truong warmly welcomed the delegation of the Institute of Marxism, Guangxi University who visited and worked with the University. Sharing about the achievements and strengths of the University, Vice President Dao Thanh Truong emphasized: With the position of a leading unit in Vietnam in research and training in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-USSH has had cooperative relationships with more than 200 major universities and research institutes in the world. Over the years, VNU-USSH and universities in China in general and Guangxi University in particular have become reliable partners to effectively coordinate and implement many activities in training, scientific research, and translation. Philosophy and political science are majors with a long history of the University, and are among the few institutions that provide systematic and in-depth training in philosophy and political science from undergraduate to doctoral levels. Therefore, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is always ready and eager to promote deeper cooperation in areas where both sides have strengths.
 

Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong discussed the strengths of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the areas where the two sides can cooperate successfully.

Listening to the exchanges from the representatives of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Kien Tan was pleased to see that the two sides had many similarities and shared interests in many issues related to philosophy, political science, Marxism, and ideological foundations. Therefore, the Institute of Marxism wishes to promote cooperation with the University in a number of areas: exchanging lecturers to improve professional qualifications and train teachers; exchanging students; implementing research topics on common topics; organizing scientific seminars. The cooperation contents need to have specific goals and roadmaps to ensure feasibility and bring practical results.

Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Kien Tan was very pleased with the proposals from the school's leaders and affirmed his desire to promote cooperation in 2024.

Representing the Faculty of Philosophy, Dr. Pham Hoang Giang and Dr. Tran Thi Dieu shared information about the teaching staff, research capacity, and scientific topics of interest. From there, it was affirmed that the Faculty of Philosophy has enough human resources and capacity to undertake short-term training courses for postgraduate students in philosophy, scientific socialism, etc.

Based on specific discussions between delegates from both sides, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong concluded and emphasized some contents for the two sides to promote cooperation in 2024:
- Exchange lecturers and students, organize training courses for lecturers teaching Marxism, philosophy, and political ideology.
- Actively support lecturers and researchers to publish scientific works and publish in scientific journals of the two schools.
- Coordinate the implementation of research topics on the following topics: Building the China-ASEAN community; state management and building the ruling party in the current context of digital transformation; cultural exchange and global citizenship education; building Marxism in the China-ASEAN community; researching current economic, cultural, social and environmental challenges of China, Vietnam and countries in the region.
- In 2024, the two sides will coordinate to organize an international conference. The Faculty of Philosophy will be the focal point for exchanging and unifying with the Institute of Marxism, Guangxi University on the specific content of the conference to have the most thoughtful preparations.
