Within the framework of the International Conference "Tran Duc Thao - Some Philosophical and Historical Issues" organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) on December 28, 2023, Professor Tran Van Doan - Fu Jen University, Taiwan (China), in his role as conference chair, exchanged and shared with scientists and students of VNU-USSH on many scientific issues of current interest.
Professor Tran Van Doan delivered a speech at the International Conference "Tran Duc Thao - Some Philosophical and Historical Issues" organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) held a warm and cordial meeting with Professor Tran Van Doan. Sharing the university's future development directions, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, stated that VNU-USSH consistently maintains its pioneering orientation, playing a core role in training and research in the country's basic sciences to regional and international standards, while simultaneously developing new disciplines and specializations. The university dedicates many policies to supporting and investing in lecturers and attracting high-quality human resources, developing a sustainable team of scientists.

Respecting Professor Tran Van Doan's valuable contributions, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan hopes that Professor Doan will continue to collaborate and provide support so that young lecturers, students, and trainees of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities can have more channels for academic development as well as investment resources to develop their capabilities.

Professor Tran Van Doan holds a Doctor of Science degree from the University of Paris (France, 1973), a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Innsbruck (Austria, 1975), and an honorary Doctorate from St. Francis Xaver University (Canada, 2001). He previously taught at the University of Salzburg (Austria) and was a Professor of Philosophy at National Taiwan University.
As the author of over 15 monographs and more than 150 scientific research papers written in Vietnamese, Chinese, English, German, French, and Italian, Professor Tran Van Doan is an academician of academies worldwide and a visiting professor at many prestigious universities such as the University of Vienna (Austria), Peking University (China), Oxford University (England), Louvain University (Belgium), Frankfurt University (Germany), Tokyo University (Japan), Fu Jen University (Taiwan), Lisbon University (Portugal), and The Catholic University of America (USA)...
