Summary of the new findings of the thesis: Approaching the subject from the perspective of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, combined with an interdisciplinary approach, the thesis systematically presents the consciousness and practice of filial piety in the ancestor worship and tutelary deity worship of the Vietnamese people by clarifying the basis of its origin and the influencing factors such as: geographical - natural, economic - social, cultural - ideological, and the existence and development of the family, lineage, village, and country in shaping filial piety in the beliefs of the Vietnamese people in the Northern Delta. - The thesis has identified trends and, based on that, proposed solutions to promote the values and mitigate the negative aspects of filial piety in the ancestor worship and tutelary deity worship of the Vietnamese people in the Northern Delta today. 12.
