10. Summary of project results:
This study provides an overview of depressive disorders. It reviews important research worldwide and in Vietnam, focusing on depressive disorders in young people. The study addresses fundamental issues related to this disorder, such as its concept, characteristics, causes, clinical features, and diagnostic criteria according to the DSM-5. Furthermore, the study discusses assessment and treatment methods, with the primary approach being cognitive behavioral therapy combined with mindfulness-based relaxation techniques to help clients cope with stress and life challenges.
The intervention results showed that the client's sleep and eating habits improved, and they were able to return to their normal work. In addition, the client experienced improvement in depressive symptoms, reduced stress and anxiety. Specifically, it helped the client improve their mood, identify their strengths, develop appropriate values, and realize those values in their current relationships. Simultaneously, the client was able to practice exercises and develop action plans to manage stress, address problems, and prevent relapse of depression and other issues in their life.
11. Practical applications:Based on the results obtained through theoretical and practical research in clinical case therapy, this study has contributed further evidence on the effectiveness of the cognitive-behavioral approach in intervening in the symptoms of depressive disorders. In addition, the limitations of the project also provide new practitioners with lessons to improve the effectiveness of therapy in the future.

10. Summary of the findings of the project:
The study provides a comprehensive overview of depression, highlighting major research on this disorder worldwide and in Vietnam, with a particular focus on depression among youth. It addresses fundamental aspects of depression, including its concept, characteristics, causes, clinical features, and diagnostic criteria as outlined in the DSM-5. Additionally, the study reviews assessment and therapeutic approaches, emphasizing the primary use of cognitive - behavioral therapy (CBT) combined with mindfulness-based relaxation techniques. These methods aim to help clients cope with stress and life challenges effectively.
The intervention results demonstrate significant improvements for the client, including enhanced sleep and eating patterns, enabling the client to return to normal work activities. Moreover, the client showed reduced depressive symptoms, alleviated stress, and anxiety levels. Notably, the intervention helped improve mood, foster self - recognition of personal strengths, and develop suitable personal values that could be actualized in current relationships. The client also gained the capacity to practice exercises, establish action plans to manage stress, problem-solve, and prevent relapse of depression or other life challenges.
