After researching the Philippines' foreign policy towards the United States from 2016-2023, the student has completed the objectives and tasks of the thesis. A summary of some of the results is as follows:
In Chapter 1, the author identified and assessed the extent of influence of key factors (both internal and external) that shaped the policy choices of two Philippine presidents toward the United States during the period from 2016-2023.
In Chapter 2, the author presents the policy statements and implementation outcomes of the Philippines' policy towards the United States during the period from 2016-2023; highlighting the differences and continuity in Philippine policy towards the US under two Philippine presidents.
In Chapter 3, the author presents the prospects for bilateral relations between the Philippines and the United States, analyzing the impact of this relationship on regional security, particularly the South China Sea issue. Based on clarifying the similarities and differences between Vietnam and the Philippines in their relations with the United States, the author offers policy suggestions for Vietnam in addressing its relations with these partners.
