For that reason, the family is considered a paradise in a heartless world. However, somewhere the family has become hell, a pain, a physical and mental torment for people due to acts of violence. Along with the development of society towards civilization, fairness and equality, it seems that domestic violence - the highest manifestation of gender inequality has an increasing trend with increasingly diverse forms and more common levels. Therefore, it is not by chance that in recent years, the topics "Say no to domestic violence" and "For a home without violence" along with many national action programs to prevent and combat domestic violence have been mentioned a lot on Vietnamese Family Day. That affirms that domestic violence in our country has now become a major concern of the social community as well as the research community. Based on the philosophical perspective on social issues, we chose the issue of gender-based violence in the family in Vietnam today as the topic of our master's thesis. With the determination of the research object as violence between husband and wife in a two-way relationship, mutual impact and the tasks to solve the problem are: to understand the current situation of gender-based violence in the family in our country at the present stage, thereby assessing, analyzing the consequences, causes and proposing some solutions to prevent and combat gender-based violence and build gender equality in the family. Based on the worldview and methodology of Marxist-Leninist philosophy, in the research process, the two logical and historical methods were closely combined to solve the tasks of the topic according to the structure of 2 chapters and 5 sections. The thesis has achieved the research goal of assessing in the most general way the current situation of gender violence in the family in our country today. In particular, the new point of the thesis is to study the current situation of violence between wives and husbands, contributing to the comprehensiveness in the study of domestic violence; analyzed and pointed out the serious consequences of gender violence on the development of individuals, families and society; at the same time, the thesis has deeply analyzed the causes, pointed out the profound nature of gender violence in the family, which is the concept of gender inequality, on that basis, proposed a number of solutions to prevent domestic violence and build gender equality in the family. The results of the thesis contribute to enriching the theories of social sciences and humanities in general, especially the results of research on violence between wives and husbands, making the study of domestic violence more comprehensive and multidimensional; at the same time, raising the awareness of each person in society in particular to prevent acts of violence and acts of gender violence in order to build a sustainable family and society entering the new century. 11. Starting from the philosophical perspective of social problem, we choose the gender – based violence issues in Vietnam is now home to research Master's dissertation.
