10. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis has researched and clarified three main contents: the formation process of the Vietnamese community in the Federal Republic of Germany; the characteristics of the Vietnamese community in the Federal Republic of Germany; and an assessment of the role of the Vietnamese community in Germany, along with proposed solutions for strengthening the role of the Vietnamese community in Germany.
Based on an analysis of the formation of the Vietnamese community in the Federal Republic of Germany, including a review of the legal basis of Germany's foreign policy and the Vietnamese government's policy towards overseas Vietnamese; some prominent features of bilateral Vietnam-Germany relations and the situation of the Vietnamese community in Germany before 1990, this thesis identifies the fundamental factors that contributed to the formation of the Vietnamese community in the Federal Republic of Germany. From there, the thesis clarifies the characteristics of the Vietnamese community in Germany, including social, economic, cultural, and political aspects. The thesis also assesses the role of the Vietnamese community in Vietnam and Germany in particular, as well as in Vietnam-Germany relations in general. Finally, the thesis offers some suggested solutions to strengthen the role of the Vietnamese community in Germany.
Numerous studies and articles have been written about Vietnam-Germany relations and about Vietnamese people abroad, but very few have delved into a specific and systematic study of the Vietnamese community in Germany. This thesis synthesizes and logically organizes data to clarify the characteristics and role of the Vietnamese community in Germany in relation to both countries and bilateral relations. The research results are of profound theoretical and practical significance.
11. Practical applications.
This thesis has identified the characteristics of the Vietnamese community in Germany, along with the role of the Vietnamese community—both as a driving force and an obstacle—in bilateral relations between Vietnam and Germany. From the perspective of policy researchers, the thesis contributes to providing a scientific basis for determining policies and priorities in relation to the Vietnamese community in Germany, as well as in the relationship between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany.
12. Future research directions
The Vietnamese community in the Federal Republic of Germany will continue to grow rapidly in both numbers and composition in the coming years. Simultaneously, as one of the largest and most developed Vietnamese communities abroad, the topic of the Vietnamese community in Germany holds a unique position, being both distinctive and always relevant.

10. Summary of the thesis results:
The thesis has studied and clarified three main contents: the process of forming the Vietnamese community in the Federal Republic of Germany; Characteristics of the Vietnamese community in the Federal Republic of Germany; Assessments of the role Vietnamese community's role in Germany and working out a solution for enhancing the role of the Vietnamese community in Germany.
Based on an analysis of the Vietnamese community formation process in the Federal Republic of Germany, including a review of the foreigner's legal status policy in Germany and Vietnam government's policy for overseas Vietnamese; Some highlights of the Vietnam-Germany bilateral relationship and the situation of the Vietnamese community in Germany before 1990, the thesis has pointed out the basic elements that helped to shape the Vietnamese community in the Federal Republic of Germany. Then, the thesis clarifies the characteristics of the Vietnamese community in Germany, including social, economic, cultural and political characteristics. The thesis also provides an assessment of Vietnamese community's role to Vietnam and Germany in particular, as well as to the relationship Vietnam-Germany in general. Finally, the thesis offers some suggestions to improve the role of the Vietnamese community in Germany.
There are many researches, articles on the relationship between Vietnam – and the Federal Republic of Germany as well as about overseas Vietnamese but very few articles studied in depth about the Vietnamese community in Germany in scientific details. The thesis summarizes and arranges the datas logically to clarify the characteristics and the roles of the Vietnamese community in Germany to both countries and their bilateral relations among them. The research results are very theoretical and practical.
11. Applicability of the thesis in practice:
The thesis has identified the characteristics of the Vietnamese community in Germany, together with the role of the Vietnamese community as both a driving force and obstacle in the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Germany. From the perspective of policy researchers, the thesis contributes to providing a scientific basis for guidelines and priorities defining in the policies with the Vietnamese community in Germany as well as in the relationship between the two countries Vietnam – The Federal Republic of Germany.
12. The next directions of research:
The Vietnamese community in the Federal Republic of Germany will continue to grow rapidly in both quantity and composition in the coming time. As well as being one of the largest and most developed oversea Vietnamese communities, the topic of the Vietnamese community in Germany has its own position and status in both unique and topicality characteristics.
