10. Summary of the thesis results:

The research results have systematized the theoretical basis for cultural tourism development, clarifying the relationship between cultural heritage preservation and sustainable tourism development. The thesis focuses on studying cultural values ​​in Ngoc Thanh commune, comprising two main groups: the culture of the San Diu ethnic community and the system of historical relics associated with the Ngoc Thanh War Zone.

The study assessed the current state of cultural tourism development in the locality through surveys of cultural resources, tourist markets, tourism products and services, cultural preservation efforts, and destination management mechanisms. Based on this, the thesis proposes directions for sustainable cultural tourism development through restructuring the development model, building cultural experience products, strengthening destination linkages, enhancing the role of local communities, and improving tourism governance mechanisms.

11. Practical applications

The research findings serve as a valuable reference source for local authorities, cultural and tourism management agencies, travel businesses, and the community in developing cultural tourism development strategies in Ngoc Thanh commune.

The proposed solutions contribute to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values ​​of the San Diu community, effectively utilizing the Ngoc Thanh War Zone historical site system, and developing cultural tourism products associated with community experiences, historical education, and sustainable local development.

12. Future research directions

Firstly, the research scope should be expanded to include areas with similar characteristics in terms of community culture, historical relics, and ecological landscapes in order to compare and refine the model for cultural tourism development.

Secondly, continue researching the mechanisms for transforming cultural resources into experiential tourism products, developing smart tourism, community tourism, and applying digital technology in the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of cultural heritage.

Thirdly, further research is needed on the role of local communities in destination governance and sustainable cultural tourism development in midland areas with multi-layered historical and cultural characteristics.

The study focused on cultural tourism resources in Ngoc Thanh Commune, including two main groups: the cultural values ​​of the San Diu ethnic community and the historical relic system associated with the Ngoc Thanh Resistance Base.

The research evaluates the current situation of cultural tourism development through the assessment of tourism resources, tourist markets, tourism products and services, cultural preservation activities, and destination management mechanisms. Based on these findings, the thesis proposed development orientations and solutions toward sustainable cultural tourism, including restructuring tourism development models, building cultural experience products, strengthening destination linkages, promoting community participation, and improving local tourism governance.

Secondly, further studies can focus on mechanisms for transforming cultural resources into tourism products, promoting community-based tourism, smart tourism, and the application of digital technologies in heritage preservation and interpretation. Thirdly, future research may further examine the role of local communities in destination governance and sustainable cultural tourism development in culturally and historically layered areas.
