Tourism in Vietnam is a key economic sector, contributing to accelerating economic growth and development, and helping Vietnam to become a modern industrialized country sooner.
Along with the rest of the country, the Mekong Delta has strived to exploit and develop its existing tourism potential and strengths.
Local newspapers, in fulfilling their functions and responsibilities, have actively participated in promoting tourism development and have achieved significant results. However, the promotion of tourism in the region through local newspapers still has some limitations that need to be overcome. This thesis is a systematic study on the issue of promoting tourism in the Mekong Delta through local newspapers. A successful research project will contribute to accurately assessing the current state of tourism promotion in the Mekong Delta. Based on this, it will propose solutions and recommendations to improve the quality and effectiveness of tourism development communication, especially to raise awareness among local authorities and people in building a sustainable tourism environment.

However, the tourism promotion of the region in local newspapers still has some limitations that need to be overcome. The thesis is a systematic study of tourism promotion in the Mekong Delta in local newspapers. The research project is successful, will contribute to the correct assessment of the status of tourism promotion in the Mekong Delta. On that basis, propose a number of solutions and recommendations to improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda on tourism development, especially to raise awareness of local authorities and people in building building a sustainable tourism environment.
