On the basis of clarifying the theory of archival activities, the effectiveness of archival activities, the study builds a system of criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of archival activities. The thesis surveys and evaluates the current status of archival activities at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. In addition, it evaluates and measures factors affecting the effectiveness of archival activities at the Academy such as: the influence of legal basis; organizational model; leadership and direction of the leaders of the organization on archival activities; facilities and funding sources; quality of human resources; level of application of information technology and the influence of the process of performing archival operations. From this current status and influencing factors, the thesis proposes solutions to overcome limitations and shortcomings in accordance with the actual situation, in order to improve the effectiveness of archival activities at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

The research results of the thesis are the basis for the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to carry out archival activities synchronously throughout the system.
