10. Summary of thesis results:
King Cao's SutraReputableis considered a very early sutra, circulated and had a wide influence in Chinese society. This sutra is not only revered in social life from the common people to the king and mandarins but is also mentioned in a number of famous literary works, included inBuddhist Dictionary, and was annotated by scholars. In Vietnam, within the scope of our survey, in the late 19th century and early 20th century, this sutra was also engraved and circulated.
Although it is a dream sutra, not a Buddha's words, this sutra follows the Buddha's teachings and has practical applications.Commentary on the Cao Vuong SutraThe old manbearing the code AC.438 is a text re-engraved and re-printed at Ngoc Son Temple according to the printed version circulating from the Qing Dynasty, currently stored at the Institute of Han Nom Studies. The text contains prefaces through the printing times, which partly shows the influence ofKing Cao's SutraIn China, in Vietnam, as well as the importance of commenting on the sutras. Through the content of the text, we can learn about the method of commenting on the sutras as well as understand the meaning of the content, the history of the origin and the inspiration of the sutras. Transcribing, translating, and commenting on the text to provide readers is also necessary.

The thesis also provides a way to annotate a sutra, helping readers and practitioners understand the meaning of religious rituals and Buddhist terminology.

The Cao Vuong KinhReputableis considered an early sutra, that has been handed down and has a wide influence in Chinese society. This sutra is not only acknowledged in social life from the populace to the king and mandarins, but also mentioned in a number of famous literary works, included in the Buddhist dictionary and advanced by scholars annotation practice. In Vietnam, within the scope of our survey, in the late 19th century and early 20th century, this sutra was also published and circulated.
This sutra retransmit from the dream, it is not the Buddha's words, but this sutra follows the intention of the Buddhist scriptures and has practical application. Cao Vuong Kinh annotation with the symbol AC.438 is a text reprinted at Ngoc Son temple according to the inscription circulated from the Qing dynasty, currently archived at the Han Nom Research Institude. This sutra contains prefaces through inscriptions that partly show the influence of the Cao Vuong Kinh in China and in Vietnam as well as the importance of the sutra's annotation. Through the content of the text, it is possible to learn the annotation's sutra method as well as understand the meaning of the content, the history of the origin and the inspiration of the sutras. The Phonetic transcription, translation, and annotation text provided to the readers, those are also necessary.
