Philosophy Department Party Branch Congress: Unity, Proactive Innovation, Creativity, and Responsibility

That was the action slogan put forward by the Party Branch of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, at its Congress for the 2022-2025 term, held on the afternoon of March 17, 2025.

Overview of the Philosophy Department Party Branch Congress for the 2025-2027 term.
Currently, the Philosophy Department Party Branch has 36 members, including 30 staff members, 6 student members, 31 full members, and 5 probationary members.
Comrade Mai K. Da (Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch) presented the Party Branch's Political Report for the 2022-2025 term, highlighting the achievements made and the direction of the Party Branch's development in the next term.
During the 2022-2025 term, the Party Branch of the Philosophy Faculty achieved many important results in various areas: political and ideological education, training, scientific research, and staff development. The Party Branch led the administration in creating mechanisms and providing necessary support for the faculty's staff and lecturers to improve their professional skills and expertise, thus continuously enhancing the quality of the workforce.
In its training activities, the Faculty has successfully completed its task of training political theory subjects for students throughout Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Undergraduate and postgraduate enrollment targets have been met, and the Faculty continuously innovates its training programs to focus on expert training and aligning with the practical needs of society. The Faculty's scientific research activities have yielded outstanding results. 100% of the Faculty's staff and lecturers annually meet the scientific research standards. The Philosophy Faculty successfully hosted five international scientific conferences, along with numerous other conferences attracting a large number of prestigious domestic and international scholars. All conferences published proceedings to disseminate the latest research findings to the academic community, while also providing valuable policy advice on training, research, and the application of philosophy in contemporary social life. The Philosophy Faculty Party branch focuses on developing, nurturing, and recommending outstanding members to the Party.
The Faculty of Philosophy is one of the faculties with a long tradition at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, with the mission of training thinkers, political theory lecturers, researchers, and theoretical cadres for central agencies. Recognizing the opportunities and challenges in the rapidly changing educational landscape of the social sciences and humanities both domestically and internationally, the Party Committee of the Faculty of Philosophy has determined that in the 2025-2027 term, it will focus on creating breakthroughs in personnel management, training, scientific research, and international cooperation. It will concentrate on developing its staff, especially leading experts, affirming its position as a leading philosophy training institution nationwide, contributing to the university's development towards a research-oriented university, and meeting the requirements of national development in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and international integration.
To successfully implement the set directions and tasks, one of the fundamental solutions emphasized in the Faculty's Political Report is to uphold the spirit of unity, proactive innovation, creativity, and responsibility in the work of the staff and Party members.
The Congress listened to the Party Committee's self-assessment report; the summary report of opinions on the draft documents submitted to the Congress and the documents of the School's Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Comrade Tran Thi Dieu (Party Branch Secretary) presided over the Congress.
The delegates attending the congress discussed and contributed many opinions to the political reports; voted secretly and unanimously in electing the Party Committee for the 2025-2027 term; elected delegates to the University Party Congress and adopted the Congress Resolution. Accordingly, the Party Committee of the Philosophy Faculty for the 2025-2027 term includes: Comrade Pham Hoang Giang, serving as Secretary of the Party Committee; Comrade Ngo Dang Toan, serving as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; and Comrades Pham Quynh Chinh, Mai K Da, and Pham Thanh Ha as Party Committee members.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung delivered a speech emphasizing the major direction the Party Branch needs to focus on in order to develop the Faculty and the Philosophy department in the coming period.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Bui Thanh Nam emphasized: “The Philosophy Department Party Branch is a large branch within the university. Through the Branch's summary report for the 2022-2025 term, it is evident that the Branch has achieved many accomplishments in various areas, from Party development and staff development to scientific research and training within Hanoi National University. In addition to teaching, the Philosophy Department staff actively participated in developing new training programs: Management Philosophy; and successfully organized the Philosophy Olympiad among universities. In the coming period, the international, national, and university-wide contexts require Party members to proactively prepare to embrace new trends.”
The university acknowledges the achievements of the Philosophy Department. The university will continue to support and assist the Philosophy Department in its endeavors.
