Congress of the Faculty of Tourism Studies Party Cell: Solidarity - Creativity - Innovation - Integration

The Tourism Faculty Party Cell currently has a total of 20 Party members, including 7 Party members who are cadres and 13 Party members who are students. Of these, there are 11 official Party members and 09 probationary Party members.
In the 2022-2025 term, with a small staff but with political determination, solidarity and creativity of all Party members, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Tourism has achieved outstanding results: Training work, currently the Faculty is training 2 majors: Hotel Management and Tourism and Travel Services Management, enrollment from bachelor to doctoral levels has met the target and increased steadily over the years, being one of the leading units in the whole school in attracting students of all systems. Scientific research, publishing and international publication in the period of 2022 - 2024 has many improvements: the Faculty's staff has had about 50 articles and scientific works published domestically and internationally, of which nearly 10 articles are published in prestigious international scientific journals under the ISI/Scopus system, 01 chapter in a monograph written in a foreign language published by foreign publishers with ISBN index; Most of the staff have chaired and participated in more than 20 scientific research topics at all levels.
The Party cell directs the maintenance and expansion of cooperative relations with scientists, organizations and universities around the world, especially relations with domestic and foreign enterprises to exchange and train students, increase practical internship and employment opportunities for students immediately after graduation (in association with FLC Group, 5-star hotel systems, large travel companies). Every year, the Faculty usually has 02 students sent to exchange in Japan.
The Party cell directs and closely monitors the activities of the Youth Union to effectively carry out its tasks, promote the proactive and creative spirit of the youth, change to new forms of activities with profound political and ideological education, and pioneer in scientific research and community service.

Based on the achieved results and some existing limitations, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Tourism Studies has identified a number of key tasks to focus on implementing in the 2025-2027 term: Building a clean and strong Party Cell, creating a united bloc within the unit; Strengthening the leadership role of the Party Cell to build the Faculty of Tourism Studies into one of the leading tourism training and research institutions in Vietnam; practically contributing to the implementation of the orientation of developing the School into a research university; Improving the quality and diversifying training activities; Promoting scientific research activities at the national and international levels, improving the quality of applying scientific research results into practice; Improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs and international cooperation. Among the above tasks, targets and solutions for the 2025-2027 term, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Tourism Studies considers personnel work, training, scientific research and international publication as the most important and fundamental tasks of the Party Cell in the coming term.
The contribution of the Tourism Studies Department Party Cell to the draft document of the 29th Congress of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities emphasized the need to strengthen political awareness training, improve critical thinking and proactively orient the ideology of staff, lecturers and students. Regarding organizational work, it is necessary to have a strategy to attract talent, create conditions for lecturers to improve their qualifications and participate in scientific research. In training, it is proposed to expand business cooperation, joint programs and enhance practical experience for students. For scientific research, it is necessary to establish in-depth research groups, promote international publications and expand cooperation with strong tourism schools. At the same time, it is necessary to promote the application of digital technology in management, teaching, research and investment in infrastructure development.
    Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh (Member of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party Cell of the Faculty of Tourism Studies in the past term. In order to successfully implement the goals and directions set out in the Political Report of the Party Cell, in the coming term the Party Cell needs to focus on reviewing training programs to increase attractiveness, update, and meet the needs of society. Scientific research and international publications have improved but are still basically focused on a number of cadres. Therefore, the Party Cell needs to have solutions to motivate, encourage, and assign specific targets to improve the capacity of cadres to support the completion of academic titles and degrees. In addition, it is necessary to promote the attraction of quality cadres from outside to work at the school.   In the spirit of solidarity and high unity, the Party Cell elected the Faculty of Tourism Studies Party Cell for the 2025-2027 term, including 03 comrades: Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Dung (Secretary), Comrade Trinh Le Anh (Deputy Secretary) and Comrade Vu Huong Lan (Committee Member), and elected 05 delegates to attend the School Party Congress and passed the Congress Resolution.
