The Party cell of the Faculty of Tourism currently has a total of 20 Party members, including 7 staff members and 13 student members. Of these, 11 are full members and 9 are probationary members.
During the 2022-2025 term, despite a small staff, the Faculty of Tourism's Party Branch achieved outstanding results thanks to the political determination, unity, and creativity of all its members: In terms of training, the Faculty currently offers two majors: Hotel Management and Tourism and Travel Service Management. Enrollment at all levels, from bachelor's to doctoral, has met targets and steadily increased over the years, making it one of the leading units in the university in attracting students across all programs. Scientific research, publications, and international publications during the 2022-2024 period showed significant progress: Faculty staff published approximately 50 scientific papers and works domestically and internationally, including nearly 10 articles in prestigious international scientific journals indexed in ISI/Scopus, and one chapter in a monograph written in a foreign language and published by foreign publishers with ISBN numbers. The majority of the staff members have led and participated in more than 20 scientific research projects at various levels.
The Party cell directs the maintenance and expansion of cooperative relationships with scientists, organizations, and universities worldwide, especially with domestic and foreign businesses, to exchange and train students, increase practical internship opportunities, and secure employment for students immediately after graduation (in collaboration with FLC Group, 5-star hotel chains, and major travel companies). Each year, the Faculty typically sends two students to Japan for exchange programs.
The Party branch directs and closely monitors the activities of the Youth Union, ensuring they effectively carry out their tasks, fostering the proactive and creative spirit of young people, adopting new forms of activity with profound political and ideological education content, and pioneering in scientific research and community service.
Comrade Trinh Le Anh (Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch) presented the Political Report and the Review Report of the Party Branch Committee for the 2022-2025 term.
Based on the achievements and existing limitations, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Tourism Studies has identified several key tasks to focus on during the 2025-2027 term: Building a clean and strong Party Branch, fostering unity and solidarity within the unit; Strengthening the leadership role of the Party Branch to develop the Faculty of Tourism Studies into one of the leading tourism training and research institutions in Vietnam; making a practical contribution to the University's development orientation towards becoming a research university; Improving the quality and diversifying training activities; Promoting scientific research at the national and international levels, improving the quality of applying scientific research results to practice; Enhancing the effectiveness of external relations and international cooperation. Among the aforementioned tasks, targets, and solutions for the 2025-2027 term, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Tourism Studies considers personnel work, training, scientific research, and international publications as the most important and fundamental tasks of the Party Branch in the next term.
The contributions from the Tourism Department Party Branch to the draft document for the 29th Congress of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities emphasize strengthening political awareness, enhancing critical thinking, and proactively guiding the ideology of staff, lecturers, and students. Regarding organizational work, a strategy is needed to attract talent, create conditions for lecturers to improve their qualifications and participate in scientific research. In training, proposals include expanding cooperation with businesses, joint programs, and increasing practical experience for students. For scientific research, it is necessary to establish specialized research groups, promote international publications, and expand cooperation with universities strong in tourism. Simultaneously, it is necessary to promote the application of digital technology in management, teaching, research, and investment in infrastructure development.

Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Dung (Party Branch Secretary) presented a summary report of some contributions to the School's Party Congress documents.
Comrade Vu Huong Lan delivered a speech at the Congress.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh (Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) highly appreciated the results achieved by the Tourism Studies Faculty Party Branch in the past term. To successfully implement the goals and directions outlined in the Party Branch's Political Report, in the next term, the Party Branch needs to focus on reviewing training programs to increase their attractiveness, update their content, and meet the needs of society. Scientific research and international publications have shown many positive developments, but are still largely concentrated among a few staff members. Therefore, the Party Branch needs solutions to motivate, encourage, and set specific targets to improve the capacity of staff members to meet the required academic rank and degree standards. In addition, it is necessary to promote the attraction of high-quality staff from outside to work at the university.
