According to the Report on the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congress for the term 2022-2025 presented at the Congress, the Oriental Studies Department Party Cell has achieved a number of outstanding achievements and advantages. The Party Cell has ensured that 100% of cadres and party members fully and seriously participate in political activities and study sessions convened by superiors; ensuring stability and solidarity within the unit.
Trong nhiệm kỳ 2022 – 2025, Chi bộ đảm bảo việc gia tăng số lượng giảng viên cho các bộ môn. Khoa đã tiếp nhận 9 giảng viên mới; 01 cán bộ bảo vệ luận án tiến sĩ; 100% cán bộ giảng dạy trong khoa tham gia giảng dạy và nghiên cứu đầy đủ số giờ theo định mức. Chi bộ Khoa Đông phương học luôn đạt danh hiệu “Chi bộ trong sạch vững mạnh”, 100% số đảng viên trong chi bộ đạt danh hiệu là “Đảng viên đủ tư cách, hoàn thành tốt nhiệm vụ”.
Trong hoạt động đào tạo, Khoa đã xây dựng thành công chương trình đào tạo thạc sĩ, tiến sĩ ngành Nhật Bản học; đăng ký từ 5 - 7 giáo trình, bài giảng/năm.
Các giảng viên trong khoa hàng năm đều có công trình nghiên cứu khoa học đạt hoặc vượt định mức, có nhiều công trình công bố quốc tế trong danh mục tạp chí có uy tín, hoặc trong ấn phẩm thuộc tốp các trường đại học được công nhận trên thế giới.
Các hoạt động hợp tác đối ngoại và hỗ trợ đào tạo đã có sự mở rộng sang các ngành Trung Quốc học, Ấn Độ học, Đông Nam Á học, Thái Lan học; mở các chương trình hợp tác mới với các trường đại học, các tổ chức, cơ quan nước ngoài có vị thế trong khu vực.
Báo cáo cũng đã chỉ ra những hạn chế, thiếu sót, nguyên nhân và bài học kinh nghiệm trong việc thực hiện nhiệm vụ của Chi bộ trong nhiệm kỳ qua.
Comrade Le Thi Thu Giang - Party Cell Secretary presented the Report on evaluating the leadership of the Party Cell in implementing the Resolution of the Party Cell Congress for the term 2022 - 2025 and the Self-criticism of the Party Cell Committee.
The Congress discussed and agreed on the direction, tasks, main targets and key tasks for the 2025 - 2027 term. The direction of the new term is to promote the leadership role of the Party Cell, promote the development of the Faculty in terms of quality in the direction of becoming a leading regional training and research unit, improve the professional capacity of lecturers, affirm the position domestically and internationally, contributing to the overall development of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The Faculty aims to standardize the Faculty's staff by adding 1-2 more staff with doctoral degrees; creating conditions for the development of the Faculty's staff to gradually approach the conditions for the title of professor and associate professor. Ensuring that 100% of the teaching staff in the Faculty participate in teaching and research for the full number of hours according to the norm. Strive for each lecturer to have scientific research works that meet or exceed the norm every year, have many international publications in the list of prestigious journals, or in publications of the top universities recognized in the world. Each year the Faculty has about 4-5 international publications. Continue to supplement and perfect the system of lectures and textbooks serving training, each year, the staff in the Faculty publish from 2-3 textbooks and lectures. Strive to carry out 2-3 international cooperation projects in training and scientific research.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell reported on synthesizing opinions on the draft documents submitted to the Congress and documents of the School Party Congress for the term 2025 - 2030.

The Congress listened to the presentation of the Party Committee's review report; Report synthesizing opinions on the draft documents submitted to the Congress and documents of the School Party Congress for the term 2025 - 2030. Delegates attending the Congress discussed and contributed many opinions to the political reports; voted by secret ballot and reached high consensus in electing the Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2027; elected 08 official delegates, 02 alternate delegates to attend the School Party Congress and passed the Congress Resolution.
Accordingly, the Oriental Studies Faculty Party Committee for the 2025 - 2027 term includes: Comrade Le Thi Thu Giang as Party Cell Secretary, Comrade Pham Hoang Hung as Deputy Party Cell Secretary, and Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong as Party Cell Committee member.

Speaking at the Congress, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the School Council, Head of the Training Department emphasized that as the leading unit in training of the school with training programs of its own identity, the Faculty of Oriental Studies has affirmed its position and development over the past 30 years. The Faculty's human resources have developed strongly, expanding cooperative relationships with domestic and international partners.
However, in the new context with many challenges, the Party Cell needs to define specific goals and tasks, promote the potential of the Faculty to meet new requirements. That is the context of university autonomy and fierce competition in the field of education, the requirement of internationalization of training and scientific research activities. The Party Cell needs to invest in cultivating high-quality human resources, increasing the competitiveness of training programs.

During the 2025 - 2027 term, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Oriental Studies is determined to carry out the set goals and tasks, build the Faculty to develop strongly, affirm its position in the Vietnamese and international higher education system. The Congress assigned the Party Cell Executive Committee for the 2025 - 2027 term to complete the official documents of the Congress based on the discussion results and contributions of Party members.
Delegates attending reached a high consensus in electing the Party Cell and passing the Resolution of the Congress.
