At the meeting, representatives from the functional departments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities briefed the students on the summary of the 2023-2024 academic year, the implementation of the training plan for the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, and new guiding documents on training as well as student care and support.
At the meeting, representatives from the Training Department provided detailed information on topics of interest to students, such as: issues related to foreign language training and foreign language proficiency standards, regulations on course registration, registration for graduation theses and equivalent courses, policies on deferment and return to study, graduation requirements, and special policies for basic science majors. Students were also informed about timelines and special notes to best support their learning and research activities in the 2024-2025 academic year.
Mr. Pham Van Hue, M.Sc. - Deputy Head of the Training Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, shared important information with students about training activities in the 2024-2025 academic year.
With the motto "professional - friendly - effective," the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, in coordination with functional departments/centers and faculties/institutes/departments throughout the university, has implemented many activities to bring the best values to students. Sharing information related to policies for students, Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu - Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, said that policies on scholarships, regulations, evaluation of training points, guidance on health insurance, rewards and disciplinary actions, student record management, management of students under agreements, answering questions, support, counseling and care for students... have been implemented synchronously throughout the university.

In particular, VNU-USSH students benefit from a rich and valuable scholarship fund. Besides the university's scholarship fund, which is derived from 8% of tuition fees, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has received numerous scholarships from individuals, organizations, and businesses (Aeon, SHB, Danko, KT, Lotte, KBSV, Vingroup, Kova, KFHI, Shinnyo, IMG, Yamada, Anex, Ponychung, Dinh Thien Ly, Mitsubishi, Posco, etc.) to encourage students to study and train well at VNU-USSH. The university also implements many policies such as tuition fee waivers, 50-70% tuition fee reductions, support for student medical care, support for students to acquire soft skills, and job placement assistance.
Students can simply access the One-Stop Administrative Support System to receive assistance with all administrative issues related to their studies at VNU-USSH.
Some of the students' concerns were addressed by the teachers during the meeting.
During the meeting, faculty members from various departments answered students' questions regarding their studies, scientific research, and policies ensuring their rights and responsibilities during their studies at VNU-USSH.
Meetings with class representatives and students from all courses across the university are an annual activity organized by the university with the aim of understanding and promptly addressing the legitimate concerns, aspirations, needs, and suggestions of students in order to build a professional, humane, and comprehensive learning and scientific research environment at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
