Attending the signing ceremony were Most Venerable Thich Thanh Phuong, Head of Tam Dao District Security, Deputy Head of Gia Lam District Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, Hanoi, Most Venerable Thich Tue Nguyen.
On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Party Secretary, Rector; representatives of the Board of Directors of the Department of Cooperation and Development, Faculty of History, along with scientists and lecturers of the University.
At the meeting, representatives of the leaders and officers of the two units discussed and proposed a number of contents that could promote cooperation in the fields of collecting, translating, publishing sources of documents, and advising on policies for ministries, central and local departments on preserving and promoting the value of Buddhist heritage.
With the common goal of exploiting and promoting the potential and strengths of the team of research experts and resources to carry out tasks to preserve and promote the cultural heritage values of the locality, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tam Dao district agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with some key contents:
- Research and provide professional advice in the fields of Buddhist cultural heritage; Compile and publish Buddhist works on Vinh Phuc province and Tam Dao district; Develop and implement scientific research programs for the goal of reviving national culture in the era of national development.
- Research, compile and publish Buddhist works on Nam Dinh province and Xuan Truong district.
- Research, compile, publish works related to Buddhism, Buddhist Heritage, Vietnamese Post-Buddhist Steles...
- Policy consulting in the fields of cultural construction and development; preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values; construction and development of cultural industry; management and development of Buddhist cultural heritage.
- Training and coaching to improve the quality of human resources; cooperation in undergraduate and postgraduate training.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan and Venerable Thich Thanh Phuong, representing the leaders of the two units, signed a cooperation agreement. On behalf of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tam Dao District for trusting and entrusting professional matters to the scientists of the University. Based on the signed contents, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities commits to prioritizing the arrangement of experts and other resources to ensure the successful and effective implementation of cooperation activities.
