KF confidently chose USSH as its partner to organize the Korean Studies Forum.

This was the statement made by a representative of the Korea Foundation (KF) during a meeting with the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) this afternoon, February 26, 2025.
According to Mr. Choi Jae Jin, Director of the Global Programs at the Korea Foundation, the Korean Studies Forum has been held in many countries around the world. In Vietnam, KF has confidently chosen the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, as its partner to organize this international forum.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the form and content of cooperation, as well as the specific timeframe for organizing the Forum. Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, emphasized that, as the coordinating agency and professional consultant, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will create all conditions to ensure the forum's successful organization.
With the aim of expanding Korean education and research in areas related to science, technology, and engineering (STEM), this Korean Studies Forum hopes to receive the support of leaders in education, research in social sciences and humanities, and science and technology to achieve several expected results, such as:
- To build a network among researchers related to Korea, promote cooperation in the development of Korean studies in Vietnam, and foster research activities related to Korea and personnel exchanges between the two countries.
- Implement the transfer and adoption of South Korea's educational experience, propose university faculty training programs through the development of educational ODA, combined with the development of public diplomacy.
- To build and establish a path of cooperation between Korean businesses and training and research institutions in Vietnam, to create a friendly connection system between universities (training talent) and Korean companies (utilizing talent, reinvesting in education), contributing to the development of Korean studies and the national interests of both countries.
The Korean Studies Forum is a prestigious international scientific and collaborative event, expected to attract participation from government agencies, organizations, businesses, universities, research institutes, and scientists and educators from both domestic and international backgrounds.
 
Representatives from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the Korea Foundation for International Exchange have reached a consensus on jointly organizing the Korean Studies Forum in Hanoi.
Over the years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, has been a close partner of the Korea Foundation for International Exchange in particular, and Korean agencies, organizations, and businesses in general. The Korea Foundation has collaborated with the university in training and research activities, prioritizing the strengthening of the team of Korean studies experts in Korean culture and language training at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi. They have also continued to cooperate in improving the university's lecture halls and Korean studies rooms, supporting the publication of scientific publications, and organizing events on Korean culture at VNU-USSH. KF-Samsung has awarded numerous valuable scholarships to students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, creating opportunities for them to develop their personal abilities and excel in their studies.

Korean FoundationThe Korea Foundation (KF; Korean: 한국국제교류재단; Hanja: 韓國國際交流財團) is a non-profit public diplomacy organization established in 1991 to promote a deeper understanding of Korea and strengthen friendship within the international community. The Foundation implements numerous exchange projects between Korea and foreign countries to foster mutual understanding.
The Foundation's areas of cooperation and funding include: supporting Korean language teaching, implementing exchange programs for leaders and youth, organizing and supporting various performances and exhibitions showcasing Korean culture and art, supporting the publication of books related to Korea in foreign languages, and collecting materials related to Korea and multimedia content from universities, libraries, and research institutes worldwide.
