At the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU and universities in China in the field of social sciences and humanities, especially in Vietnamese language training.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities expressed his hope that the Chinese Embassy would strengthen connections and support student and postgraduate exchange activities of VNU-USSH in particular and students of universities of Vietnam National University, Hanoi in general to promote academic and cultural exchanges between students of the two countries.
VNU-USSH leaders also proposed that the Chinese Embassy and related units cooperate to organize an international Chinese proficiency test at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to meet the great demand of students of the school as well as other universities in Hanoi.
The leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Chinese Embassy have reached many consensuses in exchanging opportunities to enhance cooperation between the two sides.
According to Principal Hoang Anh Tuan, the number of Chinese students studying bachelor's, master's and short-term training programs at VNU-USSH is increasing day by day. The school creates the best conditions for international students to study conveniently, including planning to organize a competency assessment exam specifically for international students studying at VNU-USSH.
Rector Hoang Anh Tuan happily shared that over the years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, has had a good friendship with prestigious universities and research institutes in China. Within the framework of a series of events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of its tradition, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with Honghe University (China), organized the Forum of Rectors of Universities in the Red River Basin to strengthen relations in the fields of education, cultural exchange and development cooperation between universities of Vietnam and China.

2025 is a year with many important events to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and the "Year of Vietnam - China Humanitarian Exchange", Mr. Trinh Dai Vi emphasized that the Chinese Embassy will continue to have activities to promote strong cooperation in the field of education and training with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This is an important activity, contributing to strengthening the friendly relationship and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
