VNU-USSH builds a set of learning materials on entrepreneurship and start-ups with funding from Dao Minh Quang Foundation

On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, there were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector, along with Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector Lai Quoc Khanh, Vice Rector Dao Thanh Truong; leaders of functional departments; leaders and lecturers of the Faculty of Management Science, Faculty of Political Science, Institute of Journalism and Communication.
On the side of Dao Minh Quang Fund, there was the participation of Dr. Dao Minh Quang - Director of the Fund, and two members of the Fund Council, Lawyer Nguyen Tien Lap and Dr. Bach Tan Sinh. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his sincere thanks for the warm feelings, deep and strong relationship between the Dao Minh Quang Foundation in general and Dr. Dao Minh Quang in particular with the development of the school since the 2000s, and especially the cooperation activities in the past 7 years. Many generations of students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU have benefited from the Dao Minh Quang Foundation with scholarships, support activities for building the school's facilities, especially in difficult times such as the Covid-19 pandemic. It can be said that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU has become a key unit in the Fund's sponsorship activities in Vietnam.
Accordingly, each year, the Fund has awarded scholarships to 22 students with Excellent academic results, 10 students who are Class - Youth Union - Association officials with Excellent/Good academic results, 5 students with difficult circumstances with Excellent/Good academic results, each scholarship is worth 5 million VND. In addition, Dao Minh Quang Fund has provided extraordinary support to the school in building facilities to bring convenience to students in the process of studying and researching. Dao Minh Quang Fund also cherishes the desire to support young scientists in developing personal capacity. In particular, based on the idea of ​​supporting Vietnamese youth, Dao Minh Quang Foundation has implemented the Project “Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Startup in Vietnam”. The Foundation has chosen the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU to develop a set of standard learning materials in the field of entrepreneurial training and startups.
The new point in this project is the systematic training for Vietnamese youth to start a business and start a business in a creative and sustainable way. Therefore, Dr. Dao Minh Quang shared that he is confident that, with its position as the leading university in Vietnam in research and training in social sciences and humanities, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU will be the unit that will effectively implement the Fund's aspirations in building a set of learning materials including textbooks, monographs and implementing training programs on starting a business and starting a business.
The project includes many different components such as: Building a standard set of learning materials on entrepreneurship and start-ups; Building a specialized library on entrepreneurship and start-ups to serve students and interested people; Building talk shows with sharing from experts; Building training programs on entrepreneurship and start-ups; Building a Talent Incubator program.
The Fund will also organize internships and practical activities for students at organizations and businesses to learn comprehensively in this field. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized that this is one of the activities affirming the viewpoint of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU in harmonizing between academia, classics, developing basic science with modernity, catching up with world trends.
The sincere and cooperative relationship with businesses and entrepreneurs once again affirms the correct strategy of VNU-USSH in coordinating between the School and businesses in training activities, scientific research and knowledge transfer, aiming to bring the best values ​​to both businesses and learners.

Dao Minh Quang Fundwas established under the German Civil Code, has independent legal capacity, and pursues public and charitable goals. In December 2016, Dao Minh Quang Foundation was officially recognized by the Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection of the State of Berlin as having independent legal capacity and was recognized by the Berlin State Department of Finance as a public benefit fund for carrying out charitable activities. The Fund's operating goal is to encourage development cooperation between the founder's two homelands, Vietnam and Germany, especially in the fields of education, sustainable agricultural development, music and culture.
