Knowledge and professional competence standards

Graduates of the training program have in-depth theoretical knowledge in the training field; master the techniques and have practical knowledge to be able to solve complex tasks; accumulate basic knowledge of basic principles, natural and social laws in the training field to develop new knowledge and be able to continue studying at a higher level; have knowledge of management, operation, law and environmental protection related to the training field; and have specific knowledge and professional capacity as follows:

- Understand the requirements for accuracy, fairness and honesty in communication activities and apply these requirements in the process of journalism;

- Understand the roles and relationships between individuals in the media production process;

- Demonstrate the ability to think critically, creatively and independently when evaluating and assessing news; the ability to organize and present information in the form of articles in different types of journalism (print, radio, television, public relations, etc.);

- Master basic knowledge of elements and principles in designing and presenting printed newspapers, websites, or building radio and television programs.

- Through the internship and graduation thesis, clearly understand the organizational model and operating procedures of a press office or media agency; Be able to skillfully apply the knowledge and skills learned into professional practice under the guidance of journalists and media experts; Be initially able to adapt to the high-pressure working environment of a press office; Flexibly apply basic communication skills with sources, colleagues, and editorial boards; Be initially able to coordinate work with groups/crews producing press programs/works.
