Welcoming delegates from Ubon Rajathanee University

On November 24, Prof. Patareeya Wisaijorn - Deputy Director in charge of external affairs of Ubon Rajathanee University (Thailand) visited and worked at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On November 24, Prof. Patareeya Wisaijorn - Deputy Director in charge of external affairs of Ubon Rajathanee University (Thailand) visited and worked at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

After briefly introducing the university's training programs, Prof. Patareeya Wisaijorn also emphasized that one of the top concerns of Ubon Rajathanee University (UBU) is developing research activities and cooperative relationships with universities in the Mekong River basin countries, including Vietnam.

On behalf of the school's leadership, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Principal) introduced a number of majors that are strengths of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including Vietnamese Studies, and introduced a number of achievements in teaching and researching Thai Studies at the school.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides reached initial agreements on building a cooperative relationship in the future. In the immediate future, the two universities will focus on student and lecturer exchange activities. Vietnamese students will have the opportunity to intern at UBU and lecturers from the USSH can go to Thailand to teach Vietnamese. In return, the USSH will create conditions for Thai students to study and intern in Vietnam.

Ubon Rajathanee University was established in 1990, located in Ubon Ratchathani province in the northeast of Thailand. UBU has 38 undergraduate programs, 27 graduate programs and 13 doctoral programs. Member units include: Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Design and Applied Arts, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Management Science, Faculty of Political Science, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Faculty of Pharmacy, School of Medicine and Public Health... UBU currently offers undergraduate training in Vietnamese Language and Literature. Some other training programs in social sciences and humanities of the university are Tourism, Social Development, History, Art and Communication, Japanese Studies, Chinese Studies, Thai Studies, Performing Arts...
