Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector of the University received the delegation.

The two sides introduced information about the activities of the two universities and initially mentioned the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of languages, social sciences and psychology. Cooperation activities can take place in scientific research; teaching TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) and exchange of 3rd year English students with majors in Politics, International Relations, Sociology, Public Policy; teaching general English programs; preparatory programs for master's degrees: TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Forensic Linguistics...

At the meeting, Associate Professor Nguyen Van Kim highly appreciated the British education system and said that there are many similarities between the two universities that are favorable for cooperation such as: strengths in research in social sciences and humanities, focusing on interdisciplinary research and area studies. He also pointed out the current reality that the young staff of the school have good research and teaching capacity but their language ability is not ready to serve professional research. Therefore, with Aston University, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hopes to receive help, especially in improving the foreign language proficiency of the young staff of the school.

The two sides agreed to continue research to sign a framework agreement as a basis for implementing more specific cooperation activities.
