Professor Nguyen Van Khanh received the Pakistani Ambassador

This morning, Prof. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University received Mr. Shahid Kiani - Ambassador of Pakistan to Vietnam. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce information and seek cooperation opportunities between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Pakistani universities as well as the Embassy of Pakistan in Vietnam.

Mr. Shahid Kiani expressed his desire to establish a long-term cooperative relationship with the University, on that basis, the two sides need to have specific discussions to implement joint activities. The Ambassador also emphasized his readiness to send Pakistani scholars and students to Vietnam for study and cultural exchange, and in return, he is ready to welcome Vietnamese scientists and students to Pakistan.

Professor Nguyen Van Khanh expressed his joy at the Ambassador's visit. He said: “USSH wishes to establish and develop relations with many Pakistani universities.”. The Principal introduced some areas of the School’s activities, especially emphasizing the School’s potential and achievements in the field of training Vietnamese language and culture for foreigners. Proposing cooperation activities, in addition to exchanging staff and students, through the Embassy of Pakistan in Vietnam, the School would like to receive documents and books introducing the culture, country and people of Pakistan for staff and students to refer to in their studies and research.

It is known that Mr. Shahid Kiani is a university professor specializing in Political Science and Diplomacy, who has taught at many universities around the world. Prof. Nguyen Van Khanh has invited the Ambassador to come and give lectures to the University's students in the near future.

After the meeting, Mr. Shahid Kiani visited some departments, classrooms and the Museum of Anthropology of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
