During the meeting, Associate Professor Lai Quoc Khanh – Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi – shared: Following the visit and working trip of the VNU-USSH delegation to Hong Ha Academy last June, the two sides have restarted many projects and cooperation activities after the post-Covid-19 recovery period. These include preparations for the 5th Forum of Rectors of Universities in the Red River Basin, scheduled for November 22-25, 2023, and issues related to professional training and improving academic quality.
Vice Rector Lai Quoc Khanh emphasized that Chinese students and trainees studying at VNU-USSH in various fields across programs from bachelor's to master's and doctoral degrees, as well as short-term training programs, are provided with the best possible conditions for learning, healthcare, and cultural exchange with Vietnamese students. In the future, VNU-USSH hopes to have opportunities for student and faculty exchange with Hong Ha Academy, demonstrating its goodwill in deepening the cooperative relationship between the two educational institutions.

With the theme: "Opportunities and roadmaps for cooperation between universities in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and China in the new context," the 5th forum is expected to guide future cooperation among member universities, elevating educational cooperation between Vietnam and China to a new level.
During the meeting, representatives from both sides agreed on the following key points:
- We are collaborating to organize the 5th Forum of Presidents of Universities in the Red River Basin at Yunnan University, China, from November 22-25, 2023.
- Coordinating the organization of the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Assessment Exam for Chinese students in Lao Cai.
- Implement support for Hong Ha Academy in developing the Vietnamese Language major (training program, textbook compilation, training of prospective staff).
- Renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two parties.
