Awarding 80 Chung - Soo scholarships

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Principal of the School, awarded Chung Soo scholarships to each student.

The Chung Soo Scholarship Foundation of Korea was established in 1962 by Mr. Park Chong Hee with the aim of nurturing human resources to serve the economic and social development of Korea. The Foundation has since expanded its support to many other countries to contribute to the development of human resources in some developing countries.

Since 2007, the Fund has chosen the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - a leading high-quality training and scientific research center in the country in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities to award scholarships. These scholarships have become a source of spiritual encouragement and material support for students in their efforts to overcome life's difficulties to excel in their studies.

On behalf of the school's leadership, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh expressed his gratitude to the Chung Soo Foundation for choosing the USSH as the first unit in Vietnam to award scholarships to the school's students to encourage them in their studies and training. Up to now, after 11 years, the Chung Soo scholarship has helped hundreds of students overcome difficulties to realize their dreams. The President also assessed that this activity is even more meaningful in the context of the good results of the Vietnam - Korea cooperation relationship.

On behalf of the students receiving scholarships this time, student Bui Thi Nien (QH-2014-X course, Faculty of Information and Library Science) spoke and thanked the Chung-Soo Scholarship Fund and the teachers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for creating favorable conditions for young people to pursue their passion and equip them with the necessary provisions on the path to self-reliance and career development.
