The Student Volunteer Team is a unit directly under the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. They are students wearing the green volunteer uniform, operating according to the 3H criteria: Effectiveness - Activity - Humor. The Volunteer Team is a strong arm for the University in participating in major events such as: Exam Support, Admissions, Welcoming New Students, 5 Good Students Day, Military Training Departure Ceremony, Graduation Ceremony… In addition, the team is also very active in charitable activities and programs outside the university. Some typical activities of the Student Volunteer Team include: Spring of Giving Love, Love for Muong Chieng,…

The Student Volunteer Shock Team was founded on May 19, 2000, and is now 18 years old. 18 years is a truly impressive milestone for a student team. Born with the enthusiasm of youth and the pride of wearing the green volunteer uniform, the Shock Team attracts hundreds of applicants each year. Each recruitment drive adds 40-50 new members.

After 18 years of operation, the Volunteer Team has a valuable asset: awards and certificates of merit at various levels, from school-level awards to awards from the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. But perhaps the most precious thing is the affection that members have for the team, even after they have graduated. Nguyen Thi Phuong Chung, the top graduate of the university and a former member of the Volunteer Team, shared: “My memories from my four years of university are closely linked to the activities of the teams I participated in. First and foremost is the Volunteer Team. The blue uniform is something sacred to students. Now that I haven't worn the blue uniform for quite a while, I feel very nostalgic. I remember the days participating in activities, sharing lunchboxes with everyone during university entrance exams, and contributing my youthful energy to community activities. I feel very proud.”

Eighteen years is as long as a person's youth, and each member of the team has dedicated four years of their youth to wearing the blue uniform. Perhaps that's why, on its 18th anniversary, with the theme "Leaving Youth Behind," the program brought so much emotion to the members. Generations of team members performed together, showcasing their close bond. The most touching moment was watching videos shared by alumni about the team.
After 18 years of development and growth, the Student Volunteer Shock Team has always been a prime example, helping to affirm the unique identity of youth and the enthusiasm of the Humanities.
