Attending the training program were Comrade Vu Hoang Linh - Rector, Commander of the Military Command of the University of Science; Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh - Head of Political and Student Affairs Department, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Command of the University of Science; and Comrade Bui Thanh Nam - Vice Chairman of the University Council, Head of the Training Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
In his opening remarks at the training course, Professor Vu Hoang Linh affirmed the importance and core role of the militia and self-defense forces in ensuring national defense and security, leveraging their strength and intellect to fulfill their duties to the people and the Fatherland, and contributing to political and national defense security activities. Accordingly, the soldiers must clearly understand their noble responsibility to seriously complete the training course, abide by regulations and discipline in learning and training, ensure the safety of personnel and equipment, and strive to achieve high results in the final examination.
Comrade Bui Thanh Nam stated: The militia and self-defense forces are both the core force in labor, production, and work, and the civilian force protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety, and combating crime. Therefore, through this training course, the core militia and self-defense forces of the two schools need to focus on consolidating their ideology, promoting important political spirit, understanding and knowledge of national defense and security in the new situation, as well as equipping themselves with additional combat skills from professional officers.
At the same time, we are confident that each officer and soldier of the school's self-defense force will uphold the qualities of a soldier, actively study and train, and make an important contribution to maintaining the stability of the school's security and political situation and ensuring social order and safety in Hanoi.
According to the training plan approved by the Thanh Xuan District Military Command, the training course will take place over 7 days (from July 1st, 2024 to July 9th, 2024, excluding Saturdays and Sundays). The content includes: equipping participants with basic knowledge about the strategies of peaceful evolution and subversive riots by hostile forces; the Party and State's policies on ethnicity and religion; and the local economic, political, cultural, social, and national defense and security situation. In addition, the soldiers will participate in training on formation and drill regulations, weapon handling skills, shooting practice, and civil defense plans, etc., to effectively perform their assigned duties and responsibilities, and be ready to fight to protect their agencies and units in case of emergencies.
