Professor Nguyen Phu Trong - from University student to General Secretary

As a student of the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi University, during the 1963-1967 academic year, and having to study in a dispersed campus environment amidst the roar of bombs and gunfire, former student Nguyen Phu Trong overcame all difficulties to become the only student to achieve the highest possible score on his graduation thesis in the entire cohort.
The university nurtured his dreams, enabling him to later become an outstanding leader, a brilliant mind and character, and a man of great moral character who lived a simple yet noble life for his country and people.
