The research results of the thesis have preliminarily outlined the phonetic and phonological inventories and geographical distribution of the Tai Yo dialects in Nghe An and parts of Thanh Hoa provinces. Consequently, several dialectal maps of variants along with corresponding isoglosses were established. Additionally, by examining the phonological changes from Proto-Tai to Modern Tai Yo, the thesis has identified typical phonetic laws occurring in all syllabic components.
11. Practical applicability: Contribute to the understanding and preservation of ethnic minority languages in general as well as the Tai Yo language in particular in Vietnam.
