- This master thesis has clarified the strategies and policies of the Party and State of Vietnam to build a socialist rule of law state on religion since 1994, especially in the period 2004-2016 and consider it as a crucial political decision in continuing to renovate the religious policy in Vietnam.

-  In the process of building a  rule of law state on religion in Vietnam, the building and perfecting of the law on religion plays a particular position. This master thesis has clarified this process through analysis and evaluation of the Ordinance on Religious Beliefs (2004) and the Law on Religious Beliefs (2016).

- The master thesis also clarifies the role and the significance of the rule of law in Vietnam and considers it as an important achievement in continuing to perfect the religious policy in Vietnam.

            Results of this research have contributed to clarifying the theoretical and practical basis of the theory of the rule of law and religion in Vietnam. At the same time, through analyzing the process of forming the model of the rule of law and religious state in Vietnam, to a certain extent, the master thesis encouraged the state management of religion, contributed the national unity to develop the country.
