Discussing with the lecturers about international publication skills, the professors mentioned the necessary criteria of a standard journal according to some prestigious journals. As such, it is necessary that authors make clear the objectives, research questions, meanings and research methods involved in their papers. Logic, spelling and grammar were also emphasized.

Apart from the basic requirements, the errors that need to be avoided such as plagiarism, subjectivity, lack of evidence, unidentified sources, long and complicated titles were also indicated by the two professors. It is also necessary to thoroughly check these requirements before having one’s article published in an international journal.

At the end of the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr Tran Thi Minh Hoa gave thanks to the two professors and said it had been an opportunity for the lecturers to improve and practice their international publication skills.

The session provided a lot of know-how and experiences on international publication for USSH’s lecturers and further facilitated its potential for international cooperation.
