The thesis classified and analyzed the basic characteristics of the spiritual cultural character type, a distinctive character type in Vietnamese literature after the 1986 reforms.

The portrayal of spiritual culture is one of the prominent factors driving the development of contemporary Vietnamese novels, both in terms of quantity and quality.
