          Research objectives:This study identifies manifestations of spiritual culture in contemporary Vietnamese novels; highlights the role and significant contributions of spiritual culture in the renewal and innovation of Vietnamese novels, both in terms of reflection and expression; and clarifies the national and modern aspects of contemporary Vietnamese novels through the element of spiritual culture.

Research subjects:Spiritual and cultural elements in contemporary Vietnamese novels after 1986.

3. Main results and conclusions

3.1. Main results

The thesis has identified manifestations of spiritual culture in contemporary Vietnamese novels, such as spiritual cultural space-time, spiritual cultural phenomena, and spiritual cultural rituals.

The thesis classified and analyzed the basic characteristics of the spiritual cultural character type, a distinctive character type in Vietnamese literature after the 1986 reforms.

The thesis highlighted the methods of expressing spiritual culture in contemporary Vietnamese novels.

3.2. Conclusion

The emergence of spiritual culture in contemporary Vietnamese novels marks a comprehensive "modernization" process for Vietnamese literature in general, and Vietnamese novels in particular. Spiritual culture is not merely a tool or means of conveying artistic ideas, but also a direct subject of description for writers.

Spiritual culture in contemporary Vietnamese novels manifests itself in diverse and rich ways across various aspects such as space and time, characters, work structure, and modes of expression. Furthermore, contemporary Vietnamese novels both inherit elements of spiritual culture from medieval literature and learn from and absorb spiritual elements from modern Western literature.

The portrayal of spiritual culture is one of the prominent factors driving the development of contemporary Vietnamese novels, both in terms of quantity and quality.
