Summary of thesis results: Firstly, the thesis analyzes the international and regional context affecting the policies of major powers towards the Korean Peninsula from the end of the Cold War to the present. Through this, we can see the positive and negative impacts of these policies on the two countries of the Korean Peninsula. From there, the thesis initially addresses the issue of peace and unification of the Korean Peninsula in the future. The thesis also discusses reconciliation and cooperation between the two Koreas to contribute to building a peaceful, stable, secure, and cooperative region in the region and the world. Secondly, the thesis makes some connections between the Korean Peninsula and Vietnam. Both countries are located in the East Asian region, possess crucial geostrategic positions, and have been invaded and dominated by colonial and imperial powers. Vietnam had to endure two wars to defend its national independence, fighting against France and the United States, culminating in 1975. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, combined with the strength of national unity and international solidarity, a combined force was created to complete the national revolution and unify the country. Meanwhile, on the Korean Peninsula, the historical movement unfolded in a different direction, especially due to deep divisions between political parties and dependence on international conditions, thus preventing the reunification of the two regions to this day. Thirdly, this thesis serves as a reference material for research and teaching at universities and research institutes. 11. Practical applications: (if any) 12.
