Summary of thesis results: The thesis surveys the characteristics of legal normative documents in the economic field of China through three aspects: relevant theories, overall structure, and internal structure. Based on this, we also have a separate section to compare the most prominent characteristics with legal normative documents in the economic field of China and Vietnam. Legal normative documents in the economic field are a type of document containing legal norms and legal relationships aimed at managing, regulating, and standardizing economic activities. They are named, their content defined, and their issuance procedures stipulated by competent state agencies according to law. They are commanding, coercive, widely binding, and can be used repeatedly on different subjects. Based on the scope of subjects, management effectiveness, type, legal relationship, and stage, the system of legal normative documents in China in general, and in the economic field in particular, can be divided into different types such as Constitutions, Laws, Regulations, Decisions, Circulars, etc. The overall structure consists of specific forms aimed at implementing the content of the document, with the various aspects organized and arranged according to certain rules. The general characteristics of the overall structure of legal normative texts are expressed through the codified content, administrative style, and specific linkages to ensure the appropriate expression of legal ideas for the implementing subjects. The internal structural characteristics of legal normative texts in the economic field are considered from three fundamental elements: language style, vocabulary, and sentence structure. The language style belongs to the administrative style and must reflect the characteristics of language: accuracy, brevity, conciseness, clarity, seriousness, and formality. This is also the essence of the language of legal normative texts, achieving the authority, solemnity, and logic of legal norms through legal terminology, specialized modal terms, and the application of specific sentence models. Finally, some important characteristics regarding specific text formats, the use of modality, and textual cohesion between Chinese and Vietnamese legal texts in the economic field are considered from a comparative perspective of similarities and differences. Based on the above analysis results, when translating relevant texts, we must be equipped with the necessary knowledge about the construction of legal texts, including legal and linguistic studies, combining two translation methods, "direct translation" and "ideological translation," to effectively translate legal texts and promote exchange and cooperation in the economic field between China and Vietnam. 12. Practical application (if any) The study of legal language and the characteristics of legal texts will indirectly contribute to lawmaking, comparative legal research, and provide scientific grounds and support as methods and testing standards for techniques related to legal language. The results of this thesis also directly contribute to the translation of legal texts between Chinese and Vietnamese, and contribute to the teaching of specialized legal language in the field of economics and other applications of language and law. 13. Further Research Directions This thesis is a research work on the characteristics of legal texts in the economic field of China and a comparison with legal texts in the economic field of Vietnam. We hope to continue to conduct in-depth research and achieve further results in this research direction.
