Summary of the thesis results: The thesis results are a nearly 100-page research work on investment by US transnational corporations in Vietnam from the time of normalization of relations between the two countries to the present. In addition to the introduction, conclusion and appendix, the main content of the thesis includes 3 chapters: Chapter 1: Overview of the main factors promoting investment by US transnational corporations in Vietnam. The content of this chapter gives us the most general view of the current state of diplomatic relations between the two countries; the investment views and foreign investment attraction of both sides in the current context. At the same time, it summarizes the basic impacts of foreign investment in general in Vietnam. Chapter 2: Current status of investment by US transnational corporations in Vietnam. Chapter 2 focuses on clarifying the assessment of the current situation, pointing out the achievements and limitations in the investment activities of US multinational corporations in the Vietnamese market. Including some areas with prominent US enterprises currently investing in Vietnam. Chapter 3: Some solutions to increase investment attraction and improve the investment efficiency of US multinational corporations in Vietnam. Based on the assessment of the difficulties and advantages in attracting foreign investment, Chapter 3 has outlined the general orientations for the relationship between the two countries, thereby proposing some solutions to attract investment and improve the investment efficiency of US multinational corporations in Vietnam, solutions from many subjects and objects such as the State, enterprises (both state-owned enterprises and private enterprises). 11. This chapter shows the strong and weak points, good result and defects of the investment affairs .There are the judgments on several related prominent industries & companies. Chapter three: Some solutions to improve the investment of American companies in Vietnam. Given the analysis of positive and negative factors to draw the foreign investment into Vietnam, this chapter determines some guidelines to develop the relationship & business between two countries.
