Summary of the thesis results: This is one of the first works to explore the methods of conducting legal research in journalism in general, and online journalism in particular. The author has compiled, classified, developed a process, and evaluated issues related to the operational activities of reporters when reporting on legal matters. This thesis initially explains the theoretical basis of conducting legal research in online journalism, such as: terms and concepts related to the topic, the role and importance of legal information in online journalism, the basis for conducting legal research in online journalism, etc. Based on that, the study generalizes from practical experience the methods of conducting legal research in online journalism, examines the cases of Vietnamnet and Vtcnews from the operational process of legal research, the basic genres commonly used to convey legal topics, and the methods of conducting legal research through the development of diverse language channels and interactivity. On the other hand, through research and surveys, this thesis will point out the advantages and disadvantages in disseminating legal information on online newspapers, and highlight issues to consider when working on legal topics... From there, it will propose some solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of legal information on online newspapers in general. The findings of this thesis will contribute to improving the quality and effectiveness of legal information in journalism in general and on online newspapers in particular. 11. Practical application: The thesis has drawn lessons from practical journalistic activities, thereby contributing to the development of a set of standards for disseminating legal topics on online newspapers. At the same time, it will also be a useful reference document for reporters, journalism students, managers, and journalism training institutions. 12.
