The thesis has achieved the following results:
Overall, the thesis provides a fairly detailed analysis of the left-wing regional integration trends in Latin America during the early 21st century, contributing to up-to-date information and multi-faceted explanations of the regional integration process and the left-wing movement in the region. Specifically,
Firstly, the thesis analyzed the favorable context both within and outside the region that led to the formation and development of a new trend – the left-leaning trend – in the process of Latin America's regional integration.
Secondly, the thesis described the process, analyzed the content, and drew out the characteristics of the left-wing integration trend in the region, which is divided into two smaller trends: moderate and radical.
Thirdly, the thesis has identified the challenges facing the left-wing regional integration trend in the region. Based on this, and taking into account the current situation, it presents scenarios for the prospects of this new regional integration trend at both short-term and medium-to-long-term levels.
11. Practical applications:
The results of this thesis can be used as a lecture on regional integration as well as on the Latin American left for students majoring in American Studies, Faculty of International Studies.

Based on the results of this thesis, further research can be developed in the following directions:
- The process of regional integration in Latin America since the Cold War
- Specific integration initiatives, institutions, and mechanisms such as UNASUR, CELAC, ALBA-TCP, or PetroCaribe; or integration strategies of specific countries: Brazil, Venezuela...
