10. Summary of the thesis results:
Through the research process, the following main results have been obtained:
The study has highlighted the current state of plastic bag usage in people's daily lives.
Our preliminary research indicates that the use of plastic bags in households remains high, averaging 6-10 bags per day. The main reasons for this continued use are their convenience and low cost, as well as the ingrained habits of the population. We learned that through mass media, primarily local radio and television, people have begun to understand the harmful effects of plastic bags on the environment and human health. Furthermore, they have been educated on how to sort waste at the source. However, due to differing waste collection methods in the two areas, people's responses to waste sorting at the source vary. While in the Nga Tu So ward area, most types of waste are still disposed of together in one place, in Duong Xa commune, due to the separation of collection days for different types of waste, residents have become more aware and formed the habit of sorting plastic bags and other types of waste right in their homes.
Factors influencing people's perceptions and behavior.
From the survey results on the level of awareness regarding plastic bag-related information in the two areas, we found differences among gender, age, educational level, and research location regarding the level of understanding of the impact of plastic bags on the environment and human health.
Regarding the level of exposure to propaganda, quantitative results show that residents in Duong Xa commune are more frequently exposed to it than residents in Nga Tu So ward. Notably, women aged 40 to 60 listen more than men, mainly through the local radio station. However, men access information through television or the internet more often than women, primarily concentrated in the 20-39 age group, who have relatively high levels of education such as university and postgraduate degrees.
Regarding the content being disseminated: Men are more aware of the harmful effects of plastic bags on the environment and human health than women. Furthermore, those with higher levels of education (university, postgraduate) and access to more information channels also have a better understanding of this issue compared to those with lower levels of education.
People's understanding of alternatives to plastic bags.
This study also includes a section on alternatives to plastic bags. However, according to the data we collected, the majority of people are not very interested in these products due to their limited popularity; furthermore, their high cost is also a factor preventing consumers from choosing them. Meanwhile, people still have the habit of going to the market to buy daily consumer goods, and using plastic bags is a habit that doesn't cost money. Although the percentage of people in this study who use alternatives is not high, they fully support the elimination of plastic bags because of their advantages for the environment and user health. If there are policies to support the production of environmentally friendly bags to promote their wider use, and if public awareness campaigns to reduce plastic bag use are strengthened, then the use of plastic bags could decrease in the future.
11. Practical applications
In the two study areas, the Nga Tu So Ward lacked a well-organized waste collection system, resulting in ineffective efforts to promote household waste sorting. Therefore, improvements to waste collection methods in this area are needed for better results.
Through research, people have become clearly aware of the harmful effects of plastic bags on the environment and human health. Therefore, solutions are needed to support the production of alternative products.
Providing data will help the urban environmental sector better organize campaigns to encourage people to use alternative bags and to sort waste at source.
12. Future research directions:
The differences between current public awareness and behavior regarding waste sorting at source:
The research focuses on: assessing the current state of waste sorting at source among the population; understanding the differences in people's awareness and behavior; and the factors influencing this awareness and behavior.
The research area could be urban or rural; or wards that have participated in the 3R program and wards that have not, in order to examine the degree of difference…
Awareness and behavior of urban residents regarding the use of eco-friendly bags:
The research focuses on: assessing the current level of use of eco-friendly bags; understanding the awareness and behavior of urban residents on this issue; investigating the reasons behind the current use of this type of bag; and the factors influencing that awareness and behavior.
Research area: wards within Hanoi's inner city.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
Through the process of researching the subject has gained the main results are as follows:
Research has pointed out the reality of plastic bags used in the everyday activities of people currently.
Through the preliminary studies we will use plastic bags in the family is also more, from an average of 6-10 PCs/day. Why it's important to plastic bags are still used in many of the convenience and low cost of itself as well as the living habits of the people. When finding out we are known through the mass media are mostly from the radio/TV and ward people initially have an understanding of the harmful effects of plastic bags on the environment and human health. Besides, they can also be propagated on how to sort waste at source but do garbage woes at two different localities are different organizations, resulting in people whose behavior with sorting garbage at source is different. If, as in the ward are mostly still for General wastes together into one place, with people in the town and County halls, due to the Division of the day collecting different waste types so they have consciously, formed the habit of sorting plastic bag waste and other rubbish types are right at home.
Factors that influence perception and behavior of people. From the results of investigations to propagate the content about plastic bags in the two regions, we found no difference between gender, age, education level, as well as the study of the level of understanding the influence of plastic bags on the environment and human health.
On the level of hearing advocacy, quantifiable results shown people at Ocean Campus often hear more than the people in the ward. Notably women aged 40 to 60 years old are older than men, mainly through information channels is radio/ward. However, males to reach via television or the internet more than women and are mainly concentrated in the age group 20 to 39 years of age, people with high education level as undergraduate and graduate student.
On the content of propaganda: men know what harmful effects of plastic bags on the environment and people's health much more than females. There are people with a high education level (undergraduate, graduate), access to multiple channels of information they also have problems understanding this better than those with a lower education level.
People's understanding about the plastic bag substitutes in this study we also dedicate a portion of the content referring to plastic bag substitutes. However, according to the data we collected, the majority of the people are less interested in these products due to the popularity of these products yet more …; There is a high cost is also one of the factors that make this product not yet consumers choice. Meanwhile, people still have the habit of going to market the sale of daily consumer goods, plastic bags have the habit of using without losing money. Although the proportion of people in the study had used many of the alternative products, but with the advantages of safety health and environment, who used them to fully support the removal of plastic bags. If there are policies that support the production of environmentally friendly bags to be used more broadly, at the same time strengthen the propagation limit using Ziplock bags …. then the next time the use of plastic bags can be reduced.
11. Practical applicability:
Applicability of practices in two areas of research, Ward do not have good structuring the trash collectors to the propaganda garbage classification in the family are not effective. Therefore, it is necessary to improve garbage collection method in order to have better results than.
Through research, people are well aware of the harmful effects of plastic bags pose to the environment and human health. Therefore, the solution supports the production of substitutes.
Provides to the urban environment a better organizational advocacy, mobilization of people using alternative bags, spell the habitants of garbage sorting at the source.
