This research focuses on clarifying fundamental concepts of tourism products in general and the specifics of border tourism in particular. It develops a theoretical framework for evaluating the development of border tourism products under the influence of demand, supply, policies, and promotional activities.

Based on the established theoretical framework, the study aims to collect data through surveys of Vietnamese tourists and expert interviews with both affected and impacted subjects.

Based on actual data, this study analyzes the current state of border tourism at the two main border gates in Quang Ninh province: Mong Cai International Border Gate and Bac Luan II Border Gate.

Develop a highly practical roadmap of solutions for Quang Ninh province and offer recommendations on revitalizing existing tourism products. Simultaneously, focus on designing groundbreaking new tourism products.

The research findings serve as a valuable source of data for local authorities and businesses to innovate border tourism products. Developing border tourism aims not only to attract a larger number of visitors but also to extend their length of stay and increase their spending, thereby directly contributing to the sustainable economic growth of Quang Ninh province's tourism industry.

Expand the scope and subjects of the research to the entire province:

Scope of study: The cluster of 4 border gates under the management of Quang Ninh province, which are currently being opened to welcome tourists for sightseeing and shopping.

The research subjects include Vietnamese and Chinese tourists using cross-border tourism products.

Drawing from the empirical data, the research analyzes the current status of border tourism at the two primary border crossings in Quang Ninh province: Mong Cai International Border Gate and Bac Luan II Border Gate.

Finally, the study proposes a practical roadmap for Quang Ninh province, offering recommendations for rejuvenating existing tourism products while focusing on the design of innovative and breakthrough tourism offerings.
