First, the U.S.-Japan alliance has evolved from a security-oriented treaty focused on mutual defense into a partnership encompassing regional security and prosperity, cooperation on pandemics and climate change, commitments to human rights protection, and the value of cooperation with other allies and partners worldwide. In the context of today's volatile and volatile global security environment, stemming from both internal and external factors, the shared goals of the U.S.-Japan alliance have been adjusted to better suit the needs of its member states. Throughout this period, both nations have made significant efforts to enhance mutual defense cooperation and become true allies in the Asia-Pacific region. Recent efforts, exemplified by Japan's new security law and new principles, will undoubtedly strengthen the alliance's relationship and effectiveness to a level far beyond what it was in the past. The U.S. has also shifted its perspective and policies toward its allies to coordinate with traditional allies like Japan in order to find more appropriate solutions to build a stable, secure, and prosperous future for the U.S.
Secondly, while continuing those efforts, Japan and the United States are also striving to further enhance the alliance's shared purpose. The alliance's shared goals for cooperation will primarily revolve around values such as freedom, democracy, the rule of law, and fundamental human rights in the Asia-Pacific region. The long-term security of both nations depends heavily on these values. The U.S.-Japan alliance needs to work not only for Japan's own security but also for the region and the world, protecting and promoting a liberal world order. In the future, the U.S.-Japan alliance will continue to be maintained and developed so that both member states can play a more significant role in addressing some of the serious challenges facing both countries in Asia and on a broader scale in the future.
Third, the alliance between the United States and Japan will guarantee a peaceful and stable security environment in the region, opening up many opportunities for cooperation between countries in the region and these two nations on both bilateral and multilateral scales. However, this will also be a challenge, as China – the leading power in the region, fiercely competing with the United States for world leadership – will not want the position of the US and its allies to increase in its region.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
First, the US-Japan alliance has changed from a security-oriented treaty with a focus on mutual defense to a partnership that includes regional security and prosperity, cooperation in pandemic and climate change, commitments to human rights and the value of working with other allies and partners around the world. In the context of the current changing and unstable global security environment due to internal and external factors, the common goal of the US-Japan alliance has also been adjusted to be more suitable for the member states. During this period, both countries have made great efforts to strengthen mutual defense cooperation and become true allies in the Asia-Pacific region. Recent efforts were shown in Japan's new security law and new principles are sure to strengthen the alliance's relationship and effectiveness to higher level than in the past. The US has also changed its view and policies allies towards to coordinate with traditional allies like Japan to come up with more appropriate solutions to build a stable, secure and prosperous state for the US.
Second, while continuing those efforts, Japan and the United States are also working harder to advance the common purpose of the alliance. The alliance's common cooperation goals will mainly revolve around values such as freedom, democracy, the rule of law and basic human rights in the Asia-Pacific region. The long-term security of the two countries depends heavily on those values. The US-Japan alliance must work not only for Japan's own security, but also for the region and the world, to protect and promote a liberal world order. In the future, the US-Japan alliance will continue to be maintained and developed so that the two member countries can play a more important role in solving some of the serious challenges that the two countries face in Asia and to a larger extent in the future.
Third, the alliance relationship between the US and Japan will be a guarantee for the peaceful and stable security environment of the region and open up many cooperation opportunities for regional countries with the two countries on both a bilateral and multilateral scale. However, this is a challenge because China - the leading power in the region that is fiercely competing with the US for world leadership position, will not want the position of the US and its allies to increase in the region its existence.
