10. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis aims to study the theoretical and practical issues regarding the development trends of Vietnamese print journalism in the context of multimedia communication, including highlighting the unique characteristics of local print newspapers (Saigon Liberation Newspaper). Through this, it identifies practical problems and proposes recommendations to enhance brand recognition, improve print quality, and attract readers.
- This thesis systematically examines the development trends of print journalism in the context of multimedia communication; clarifies related concepts; and outlines the methodology and practical basis for the necessity of researching a system of sections and special pages in print newspapers that aligns with the current evolution and development of print journalism.
- Clarifying theoretical and practical issues to affirm that print newspapers still exist, have their own appeal in the context of digital technology, continue to develop strongly, and attract a loyal and interested readership.
- This study surveys and describes the current state of local press in Vietnam, while also identifying opportunities, challenges, and requirements for local journalism in the context of multimedia communication.
- To survey the current state of development of several print newspapers on the market; to forecast the development trends of local print newspapers; to identify contradictions and shortcomings in development trends, and thereby offer scientific recommendations for the development of print newspapers.

- Presenting general theoretical issues regarding the development of print journalism; the system of sections and special pages that build the reputation and brand of a newspaper; organizational methods in print journalism, focusing on daily newspapers.
- To survey the regularity of the sections in the SGGP newspaper, their presentation, and whether or not they possess distinctive characteristics that define the newspaper's unique style.
- Identify the sections, both in form and content, that have built the newspaper's reputation and brand; identify shortcomings in the development, organization, and implementation of these sections, and propose solutions to overcome them.
- Compare some sections of SGGP Newspaper with those of Tuoi Tre and Lao Dong newspapers to analyze writing styles and organizational methods, identify unique characteristics of print newspapers, and thereby develop and propose a unique approach to organizing sections for SGGP Newspaper.
12. Future research directions:
This thesis points out weaknesses in the content creation process of the SGGP newspaper, highlighting shortcomings in both the content and presentation of its various sections. Based on this, it proposes solutions to improve the quality of content in these sections, aligning with current journalistic trends, reader preferences and information choices, societal information needs, and the needs of specific reader groups. The thesis suggests several specific solutions to enhance the quality of the local Party newspaper, simultaneously fulfilling its propaganda mission, competing in journalism, and engaging with readers; while seamlessly integrating political and economic aspects of journalism.

A substantive description of the thesis results
The overall aim of this thesis is to research theoretical issues and trends in the development of Vietnam's printed newspapers in the context of multimedia communications, including typical characteristics of the printed Sai Gon Giai Phong (SGGP) Newspaper; Thus, identifying practical issues and making proposals together with recommendations to build the brandname, improve the quality of the type of printed newspaper and lure more and more readers.
The researcher will systematize arguments related to the development trends of the printed newspaper in the context of multimedia communications; clarify relevant concepts, methodologies and practical basis of the necessary research to form the system of categories and columns on printed newspapers in accordance with the trends and current development of the global printed newspapers.
A part of the thesis focuses on clarifying theoretical and practical issues to strongly affirm the role, development and attraction of the printed newspapers in society under the context of social and digital media via concerns from numerous readers.
The will researcher carry out an actual survey and description, analyze Vietnam's press system and display the opportunities, challenges and requirements for the media in the context of multimedia communications.
Particularly, there are actual surveys to grasp the current situation as well as the development of some printed newspapers, forecast the development of trends on local printed newspapers and detect obstacles and concerns in the new trends, thereby making scientific recommendations for the printed newspapers' development.
12. Practical applicability, if any: ​
Providing general theoretical issues on the development of the printed newspapers, the system of categories and columns which are designed for the printed newspapers, notably daily newspapers.
Reviewing and carrying out a periodical survey on the columns' design on the SGGP Newspaper following its specific characteristics and style.
Identifying categories in terms of form and content that help the newspaper to popularize to readers; sharing disadvantages and solutions in building, organizing and implementing categories.
Comparing some columns of SGGP Newspaper with Tuoi Tre Newspaper and Lao Dong (Labor) Newspaper to analyze writing styles and organizational methods, find out the unique features of each printed newspaper, thereby forming and reflecting better ways of building and organizing columns for the SGGP Newspaper.

Through the thesis, the researcher will display the weaknesses in the term of building contents on the SGGP Newspaper and the concerns in both the content and the design forms of the columns on the newspaper; Accordingly, solutions to improve the quality of the contents of each category in accordance with the current trends of the media, the demand of selecting core news from readers, the society and loyal readers.
Some specific solutions to improve the quality of the city's Party newspaper, carry out political propaganda tasks and media economics, compete with other newspapers and accompany with readers will be proposed by the researcher in this thesis
