The difference is not in the intensity of feelings but in the way of expression of Northern and Southern boys and girls. In terms of art, we compare folk songs about male-female relationships and love between Northern and Southern people in the fields of poetic form, semantics, language, images, symbols, time and artistic space, and the differences in proportion and level of use. From there, we explain the reasons for the similarities and differences between Northern and Southern folk songs in general, and folk songs about male-female relationships and love between the two regions in particular. The differences inevitably come from the cultural identity of each region, while the similarities are due to both the common nature in the process of creating folklore and the historical conditions, natural geography and cultural exchange relations of each region. Affirming the unity in the overall Vietnamese folk songs and the unique features of Northern folk songs and Southern folk songs. It is also a valuable treasure of our ancestors that needs to be preserved and developed. 11. Ability to apply in practice: Used as research material. 12. Further research directions: None 13. In respect of form, we compare the couple relationship and youth love in Northern folk-song to these in Southern folk-song on some factors: poetic kind, meaning, word, image, symbol, time and place to discover the differences in rate and degree of use. - From all above, we explain the reason of the similarities and differences between the Northern folk-song and Southern folk-song in general; between the couple relationship and youth love in particular. The region's cultural character has created inevitable differences.
