Summary of the results of the thesis: The thesis "Legends and festivals about the Four Holy Ladies at Lo Temple (Hanoi) through comparison with the legends and festivals about Queen Mother Duong at Mau Temple (Tan Hoi, China)" mainly surveyed and researched Lo Temple (Hanoi), we expanded the scope of research to Mau Temple (Tan Hoi, China). The legend of the Four Holy Ladies originated from the history of Queen Mother Duong, the late Queen Mother of the Southern Song Dynasty in China. Stories and details about Queen Mother Duong circulated in many Vietnamese villages with details that were completely different from official history. It can be seen that there is a cultural belief in the Four Holy Ladies originating from China, transmitted to the coastal villages of Nghe An and then developed widely throughout the Red River Delta, including Hanoi. The cultural and religious tradition of the Four Holy Ladies has undergone a very long process of transformation and development in history to have the appearance it has today. The festival of the Queen Mother Duong at the Mother Temple and the festival of the Four Holy Ladies at the Lo Temple both have the common characteristics of a festival praising figures who have contributed to the people in history. The festival of the Queen Mother Duong mainly follows a line, has a commemorative nature, purely aimed at honoring the National Mother. The festival of the Four Holy Ladies is a mixture of many cultural nuances from many different historical eras, converging through activities such as palanquin procession, water procession, royal decree procession, monks performing ceremonies, spirit mediumship, etc. 11. The legend about the Four Ladyship Saints takes its origin from the history of Yang, the Queen Mother, at the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, China. Many stories about Queen Mother Yang have been long handed down to Vietnamese villages with particulars completely different from history written by imperial court. Culture and beliefs in the Four Ladyship Saints were thought to be originated from China, they were introduced to coastal fishing villages of Nghe An, then being widely developed in to all over the Red River Delta, including Hanoi. The traditional culture and beliefs of the Four Ladyship Saints have experienced a long-term process of changing and developing in the history to obtain the present physiognomy. Both Festival of Queen Mother Yang at Holy Mother Temple and Festival of the Four Ladyship Saints at Lo Temple are typically featured as a festival to praise those of great credit with people in the history. Festival of Queen Mother Yang, is commemorative, purely to honor the Mother of the country while festival of the Four Ladyship Saints is the mixture of various cultural colors of different historical ages, being gathered into such activities as worshiping, water procession, procession of royal honor –conferring diploma, holding ceremony by Buddhist priest, attending a séance, etc. 11.
