- This thesis introduces and analyzes the fundamental premises and content of the thought of Ishida Baigan – a bourgeois thinker who lived during the Edo period.
- Based on previous research, new historical sources, and interview materials conducted by the author, this thesis contributes to summarizing the formation and development of the Ishida-Baigan movement, built on the intellectual foundation of Ishida Baigan, from the Edo period to the present day.
11. Practical applications:
In the context of many countries around the world, including Vietnam, actively cooperating and learning from the lessons of Japan's modernization, studying the thought of Ishida Baigan and the history of the Sekimon Shingaku (Stone Gate Mind School) movement will help us to understand more deeply and make more accurate assessments of the importance of the non-material foundations that contributed to Japan's success.

This study compares Japan's "Sekimon Shingaku" movement with mass ideological movements in Vietnam during the modern period.

- Based on previous researches, novel historical materials and interview records conducted by the writer, the thesis summarizes the foundation and the development of Sekimon Shingaku movement, which was established on Ishida Baigan's thoughts in the middle of the Edo period and has existed up to the present.
