- Based on previous studies, new historical documents and interviews conducted by the author, the thesis contributes to generalizing the formation and development of the Stone Gate Mind Study movement built on the ideological foundation of Ishida Baigan from the Edo period to the present.

In the context that many countries in the world, including Vietnam, are actively cooperating and learning lessons from Japan's modernization process, studying Ishida Baigan's ideology and the history of the Sekimon Shingaku movement will help us understand more deeply and have more correct assessments of the importance of the intangible foundations that created Japan's success.
