Phan Bội Châu (1867-1940) was a patriot, politician, and leader of the national liberation movement in the early 20th century. He holds an important position in the history of modern Vietnamese political thought. A century has passed since Phan Bội Châu initiated and led the struggle for national independence and freedom through concrete activities such as: founding the Duy Tân Society (1904),Dong Du movement(1905), establishedVietnam Restoration Society(1912) and then the Vietnam National Party (1924)... This marked the beginning of the birth of a political party in its modern sense. His ideas and practical activities were based on the principle of expelling the French from the country, restoring Vietnam's sovereignty, and establishing the "Republic of Vietnam," a model of state aimed at bringing civil rights, democracy, and freedom to the people... These are values ​​and goals of the era that, to this day, are the direction many nations and peoples, including Vietnam, strive for.

To date, numerous studies have been conducted on Phan Boi Chau's political thought, but none have directly delved into his ideas on political parties and state models. Therefore, the author has chosen the topic "Phan Boi Chau's Thought on Political Parties and State Models" as the subject of this research. The thesis deeply analyzes the content and examines the historical values ​​and lessons for the Vietnamese revolution during the national liberation period and in the current national construction process. Phan Boi Chau (1867 – 1940) was a patriot, a politician, and a caudillo of Vietnam national liberation movement in the early century of XX. He took an important position in modern history on the political thoughts in Vietnam. It's a century since Phan Boi Chau initiated and led the struggle for independence and freedom of our country by the particular activities: Duy Tan Hoi foundation (1904), Dong Du movement (1905), Viet Nam Quang Phuc Hoi foundation (1912) and Viet Nam Quoc Dan Dang foundation (1924) … It started the foundation of a political party with the modern meaning. His thoughts and actual operations were welfare to drive off the French colonialists from our country and revive Viet Nam sovereignty and founded “Viet Nam Republic” – a state bringing, democracy and freedom to Vietnamese people. This is the urgent value and goal which a lot of countries and people including Vietnam aim at.

So far, there have been many studies on Phan Boi Chau's thoughts but no study directly talks about Phan Boi Chau's thoughts on political party and state mechanism. Therefore, the writer chose the thesis title “Phan Boi Chau's Thoughts on Political Parties and State Mechanism” as her study title. The thesis analyzes thoroughly the content and assesses the value and historical lesson for Vietnam's struggle in the period of national liberation and in building the country nowadays. Particularly, the thesis studies on:
